I feel so stupid! I had the top grade in the class (I actually had 100 percent!), I went in for extra study time, and my teacher said I was ready... I don t know what went wrong and I m so embarrassed. I don t know what to do. Did this happen to anyone else? Do these scores automatically show up for any college I apply to? :(

So one of my best friends, whom I've liked for almost three years, actually ended up asking me to homecoming this past year, and we also went to prom together. We hang out quite a bit but it's usually in a group, since we have the same friends (and we're both pretty shy). I've wanted to tell him for a long time that I like him and want to go out with him but I just get so nervous, and don't really know how to go about saying it (or when to say it). I'm pretty sure he likes me as well but I don't want things to be weird if I'm wrong...

He and I are leaving for separate camps this week and I'm really tempted to call him and tell him my thoughts but that doesn't feel right.

What's the best way to go about asking somebody out?

I'm going to a murder mystery party tomorrow, and we are supposed to dress up-- which one is better for a 50s themed party?

We are working on direct characterization in our English essays. Does this sound all right (the last sentence is the one in particular, the rest are giving general background)?:

For one of my friends, he is super obsessed with Batman and comics in general. I was thinking of making a pencil holder but that didn't turn out too well, haha. He's also pretty religious, maybe I could make something to do with that?

For my other friend, he's always reading, and he enjoys tennis and golf. I've only known him since last year, but he's become really close in the past few months and I want to make him something.

Then there are my cousins. 16, 15 and 12. They're all pretty interested in sports, I just don't know what to make.

There's this guy I like and we've become friends this school year. I want to ask him if he wants to go bike-riding this weekend, just like around town and stuff. The problem is we are both really quiet and awkward people. We've hung out a few other times but usually for anything outside of school we're with a group and it's not as uncomfortable. I'm worried we'll just end up being really awkward and quiet the whole time... so would it be weird to ask? Any advice on how to be more confident talking to him?

My sister does her chores \*sometimes*\ on her own, but really only when someone tells her to. Even worse, my mom is out of town and my dad is at work during the day. I've been left to feel that I have to clean up after everything, whether it's my sister's responsibility or not--and I have online school to work on during all of this. I've called her out on it and told her that she needs to pick up after herself and be aware of anything that needs to be done. I've even told her I realize I'm being bossy but I wouldn't need to say anything if she did what she was supposed to in the first place. But she keeps telling me I'm getting too uptight and getting into yelling matches with me. I've tried being nice, I've tried telling my parents, I don't know what to do! She's really pissed and won't listen to me. It's wasting both of our time and draining my energy. I just don't want our parents to come home to a mess.

I'm not religious, and I feel hypocritical. I know it seems kind of silly, but it's something that really bothers me. It's not like I'm any less patriotic--that line was not there in the first place, and our country is not founded on any religion whatsoever. Of course, in formal situations I will say it to avoid disagreements, but like at school is it okay for me to just leave it out?
