James Kessler IV degree blackbelt. I've been told by people who's opinion I trust that he's one of the best TKD instructors in Shropshire (England). However I'm concerned whether he trains for quality rather than quantity. In other words not just in it to make a load of money,to produce poor students, as alot of TKD instructors paticularly I've come across

have been. So if anyone has trained with or knows, works, or has trained with this individual your input would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I've been training at the Shinpi Izumi school of Traditional Jujutsu since August 2011. Now I'm charged £3.50 a session and only more for gradings like £20. We have full contact during randouri and during practice with the exception of punches making contact, but what has my suspicions going is that gradings are every 3 months and I'm going to be tested for 1st kyu towards brown instead of purple next April. Plus we don't really emphasize that much on striking technique. Should I be suspicious?

Reason I ask is I want to look into trying out Traditional Taekwondo where 'fists' are allowed, and not the 'kicks allowed only' crap you see on the Olympics. We have fists for a reason after all.

I'm thinking of moving there and would like to continue training.

-8 GCSE's with 3 C's.

-A/S Level Art.

-BTEC First Diploma in Media.

-BTEC National Certificate in Public Services.

I also read poetry and novels, along with painting, writing songs and occasionally poetry in my spare time amongst other things.

Yet I am about to drop out of University (Open) for the second time. The first attempt was at Staffordshire Univesity.
