  • Sick of Being Talked Down To?

I'm a high school freshman at a new school, and made a new friend through a sport. She helped me quite a bit, as she was obviously much farther ahead of me. We know each other pretty well now, and are playing another sport together. She's one of my favorite people, but has a tendency, but as a tendency to act like I'm a small child. Is this healthy?

  • What Should I Do In My Friendship?

I recently transferred to a new school where I knew close to no one. I made a few friends gradually, as a result of joining the school volleyball team. one very kind girl went out of her way to include my in activities. We started to hang out, and we sometimes hang out on weekends, but always doing an activity. Whenever we are simply talking to one another, I freeze up and lose my personality. Then, when we aren't together, I can't help but obsess about every interaction we have. How do I act normally and calm down? Also, is this obsession normal? Thanks in advance !

  • Why Am I So Nervous Around My Friend?

I have a friend at my new high school who I have known for a few months, and I get incredibly nervous around her. We play sports together, and hang out occasionally. The unusual thing is that usually when I get to know someone I cease being so nervous, but I still a making a fool out of myself. How do I act like myself?

  • How To Stop Saying Sorry So Much?

I say sorry literally hundreds of times per day. Its getting to a point where I'm seriously annoying the people around me. I'm not sure what the stem of the problem is for sure, but I have severe confidence issues and am really clumsy.

  • How To Overcome Shyness and Make Friends?

I recently transferred from a small middle school to a large high school, with my two closest friends being he only two students I knew, out of a total of about 1700. I am not a naturally social person, an have a habit of saying "sorry" way too much. I am very awkward, and have a habit of zoning out, counting tiles on the ceiling, and tripping over nothing. Somehow I made the freshmen volleyball team despite my spazzy nature, and made friends with a couple girls from the team, and one was even nice enough to let me hang out with her and her friends occasionally. I really like them, and want to become friends with them, but as a result of being so nervous, am unable to come off as anything but questionably sane. Can anyone help me with how to make friends with them. Thank you.

  • Trying Out For The Volleyball Team?

This year was my first year playing freshman volleyball, and I somehow made the team with limited experience. I enjoyed playing, and it allowed me to make a few friends at my new high school, including one somewhat close friend. Although I am a six foot tall girl I was on the lower half of the playing level, and the third string middle blocker. Even if I did make JV next year, my favorite friend is most likely going to be promoted to Varsity next year, and I am not sure if I want to continue without her.
