How to season a sandwich maker?

I got a grilled cheese maker and the instructions say that you need to season it before the first use. How do you do that?

Also, does seasoning it affect the way you clean it after use?

Just rub it with Olive oil. Or any oil and heat it till the light comes on(or off). Let it cool thats it.

Hmmm, know nothing about grilled cheese makers (arent they called skillets or griddles??) but to season cast iron you oil it (cooking oil, crisco or other shortening) and put in the oven on low heat till.... well, well seasoned. Cast iron shouldnt be put in water and should be re oiled occasionally.
