Plain or Toasted with butter or jelly, it's terrific! You can actually add Jelly to the recipe [how-to follows].

Peanut Butter Bread

Yeast 2 ½ tsp.

Bread flour 3 cups

Brown sugar, packed ¼ cup

Chunky peanut butter ½ cup (room temperature)

Very warm water 1 ¼ cups

Use the White Bread setting.

For Peanut Butter & Jelly Bread:

Add 2 Tablespoons of grape or strawberry jelly and 2 T ablespoons of white sugar, omit the brown sugar. The crust may get dark, so set the lightness control between medium and light.

Here's a Peanut Butter Bread recipe that doesn't require yeast or a bread machine. I thought I'd post it for those who lack one or both of them.

    3/4 cup creamy peanut butter

    1/4 cup shortening, melted

    1 egg, beaten

    1 cup milk

2 cups flour, a-p or bread

    2/3 cup sugar

    1 tbsp. baking powder

    1 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine peanut butter, shortening, egg, and milk in large bowl. Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together, then mix into the peanut butter mixture. Spoon into an ungreased 9" x 5" loaf pan. Bake for approximately 50-55 minutes. Cool completely before slicing. Wrap with aluminum foil.
