If you woke up one morning and found all your born again acquaintances missing?
Would you recognise it as the rapture as described in the bible and give your life to Jesus?
Im not having a go and Im not religious, just curious of peoples opinions. Im also not interested in being preached at!
Tom the rapture is found in the book of Revelations.
I havent stated my own beliefs here so dont assume you know them!

I think the answer is clearly yes.
Most people change their minds when the facts change.
But there hasn't been a Rapture. There hasn't been any miraculous event people could see. And that's the problem; if God wants us to believe in him, he is doing a really bad job of convincing us. If we assume that he's capable of performing (initiating, enacting?) the Rapture, then why doesn't He do something to help people find him?

ok no preaching,
i would definitely think i missed the rapture, however, it is clearly written that the last days will be like the days of noah. in the days of noah, the Fallen angels came down women and created the Nephelim and Giants were born of them. All flesh was destroyed except Noah and his family. Oh! and the other 86 people that the koran says survived too.
personal experience, here, I did lay down on my bed one day after school, and an angel appeared in my room, when he left and i was still there I thought for sure I had just seen Jesus and i had missed the rapture. There was a movie in theatres a couple years ago about a time traveling preacher. and in the storyline others thought they had just missed the rapture because someone disappeared.

Hmmm.. I can't find that part in the Bible.. well.. not "rapture"...
I often wonder if all of the "bad" people will disappear and the "good" will stay.. or if the "good" will disappear and the "bad" will stay...
But either way, if I woke up and found a large group of people missing from the world.. then I might think that it was the rapture... and then it would be time for me to try to find out what group I was in that stayed!!!

I will not preach here. I will be brief and to the point. To begin with, I am NOT a BoRn AgAiN ChRiStIaN but I am a CHRISTIAN. There will not be the Rapture that these people speak of. When the Judgment occurs, it will be as a theif in the night. No one will be able to open the door to heaven that late. You will either be found in the BOOK of Life or NoT. Have a great day.

Nope, I would be first in line to get my Mark and follow the Anti-Christ to Hell!!!!
BWAAAAAAAA-HAAAAA-HAAAAAA
Bible literals are such freaks!!!!
I am guessing you also believe that Adam and Eve really ate an apple or that Moses somehow finished Deuteronomy after he was dead.
I know the Bible. I consider myself a Christian. I just don't take everything literally. Jesus spoke in parable. Why is it so hard to believe that the Bible is one big parable for living the better life???

If you woke up one morning and found all your tree hugging acquaintances missing, and a quilt of living flowers growing on thier beds, would you give your heart to Gaia?
No, I am sure you are confident that will not happen.

I'd go back to sleep with a shrug and probably conclude they'd had another Jonestown type mass suicide. If you think about it that would be the rational explanation.

Although I don't believe for a second that it will ever happen, I would jump for joy. The thought of living without all those christian holier-than-thous makes me giddy with excitement...

I'd be a bit confused about why I had been chosen for heaven.
