Ways to use evaporated & sweetened condensed milk?
The only thing I know how to use evaporated milk for is making peanut butter candy. My husband sometimes uses sweetened condensed milk when he cooks, but I never know what he uses it for - it just disappears eventually. What are some ways to use evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk, in every day cooking? (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, etc?)

Try evaporated milk in your coffee or to your mashed potatoes with a lot of butter and salt and pepper.
If you take a small can of condensed milk, 4 egg yolks and a 1/4 cup of lime juice (Key or mission limes work best) mix them together and pour them into a Graham cracker crust. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes... you got homemade key lime pie
top with whipped cream

I have a fanstaic recipe for chocolate chip cheesecakes, individaul servings. I have a website about cooking. Recipes are easy and tasty. Here the link to my cheesecake recipe that uses sweetened condensed milk.

Also, I use evaporated milk in cream soups or in place of milk in cheese sauces, adds a rich creamier texture. Even the low-fat version is fantastic.

I have a couple of cheesecake recipes that call for it. Also Tres leches cake uses it. I really like to put a little sweetened condensed milk in my coffee every now and then, too.

I just came up with this last week!
Evap milk makes a great base for a cheese sauce for mac and cheese - therefore you can whip up some homemade mac and cheese in no time!
1 cup of evap milk
1 cup cheddar cut into chunks
put milk and cheese into double boiler and cook until smooth and melted - add on top of your tender macoroni noodles with some shredded cheddar (put these ingredients in layered) and crumble some club crackers on top of the creation - bake @ 350 for 15 minutes and DONE!!!
:) I just made this for a side dish last night, soooo good and super simple!
