What do you call your sister's mother in law?
Maybe the books or sites are out there on this, all I've found on kinship terminology don't cover this.
I'm just curious, each time I'm talking about my sister's or my brother's mother-in-law or father-in-law, I wonder if there is a single term to describe that person. Aunt- or uncle-in-law just sounds odd lol. Anyone know? Or know of a site that goes into more details than the basics (e.g. second cousin twice removed)

You call them Mrs. Jones or Smith or whatever. Or you call them your sister's mother-in-law. There is no kinship terminology because there is no kinship. With terms like second cousin twice removed there is an exact degree of consanguinity. In-law relationship are limited to nuclear family - your spouse's parents and siblings.

Nope, there's no relationship or kinship. I call her mother, father, sisters, and brothers in law by their names, but ironically enough, I call her Aunts and Uncles-in-law Aunt Suzie or Uncle Joe...I guess that's because that's what I always hear them called.
