Is it illegal to take a prescribed prescription in a non-prescribed way? For example, snorting pills.?
As an example, if I am prescribed Vicodin for pain and instead of taking them orally, I chop them up and snort them.
I am not thinking or even wanting to do this, I am just trying to find out the info about drug laws in the U.S.
I would just like to know if it is illegal and where I could find a link to information about the law.
Can you please give me a link or something I can cite to prove that what you say is true? I believe it is illegal as well, but cannot find this information anywhere.
I NEED A SOURCE--NOT JUST A "YES THIS IS ILLEGAL."

if you're snorting them, it's to get high; so yes it's illegal!
but than you're prescribed them; so that would be abusing them!

I agree with the other person.................if you are not taking them as prescribed................ illegal. That simple. Do you have trouble swallowing them is that why you snort them? Come on.........
