Crispy Pasta Bake.....?

Question

I'm making a tomato pasta bake. But i wanted a crispy cheese topping. To make the topping crispy should i just grate it over the top and bake in it in oven or is there anything else i should add.

Yeah thats how you do it. Grate it over and stick in the oven, kinda like lasagne.

Towards the end, switch your oven to grill (broil!!!) and that will make the topping lovely and crispy, yum!!!  Try the breadcrumbs as well, they will add a nice crunch too.

I make my casserole toppings crispy by grating the cheese over the top of the casserole and then sprinkling with bread crumbs.

You can mix the grated cheese with some herbs and breadcrumbs or add a packet of crushed up ready salted crisps to the cheese and herb mix.

Grate the cheese and add some stale (er not mouldy) breadcrumbs this with toast on top

try
 use a cheap brand of mayonnaise spread over the cheese
this will crisp up and stop the cheese burning
