regular flu kills five hundred thousand people per year, swine flu has killed considerably less than 500 people in a month.

does anyone else wonder what all the fuss is about?

people are taking it too seriously.

don't you realises just because people have actually

died from it, the newspapers make it out to be

something that will kill us all, but it's not.

the newspapers make it out to be something really bad

so people will worry and go buy there newspaper.

there doing it to scare us so everyone will buy the newspaper

    which makes them more money.

have any of you saw the swine flu advert?

trying to crap everyone up and make them scared so

they will ring the number and pay like a pound every minute

there on the phone for, it's just the money people, don't you see?!

anyways, what ever happened to dying of madcow disease?

what about bird flu? did it kill the worlds population? no it didnt.

and i very much doubt swine flu will either, if it does, i'll eat my jeans.

  • Well....People are now showing that there are signs of the flu jumping from Humans back into Pigs. That's a sign that it's going to mutate. That's also a sign that they will have to change the vaccine (if they do indeed, come up with another one) or just have every social function shut down and stop people interaction because that's just going to halt it like hell.

In my opinion, the media is overplaying all this crap about Swine Flu. It's just unfair that if One Person...One Person! Gets Swine Flu at my school, it will be shut down and all of the Seniors here won't be able to graduate until the school opens back up.

I'm glad my school is still open. People just need to wash their hands a little more and longer with hot water and soap (Not Antibacterial, you silly people that do because that builds up the germs' immunities to it!), because that would just help it stay down. =)

    Oh...I got a little off topic...oh well. =)

a lot of persons are overreacting. a lot of this is been promoted through the media attempting to get a strong information tale. they're meant to list the information, no longer reason mass panic. there have been a lot of deaths in Mexico on the onset so as that human beings were afraid that it became going to expose right into a virus. Mexico -- which looks to have dealt with the nastiest type of swine flu -- has been able to sluggish deaths to a trickle through a public practise marketing campaign. And that marketing campaign has in many situations targeted on purely accepted, run- of-the-mill suggestions for keeping off flu.

i wonder the same thing. i mean, people are blowing this out of proportion. yeah, maybe it CAN mutate, but cant every other sickness? swine flu is just a fancy name for the flu. yeah, people are dying but like you said a bunch of people get killed with regular flu! i mean people get killed by slipping and falling in the bath tub. so if everyone said your bathtub was out to kill you, would you quarantine it? no, that would be ridiculous. and yeah there is no cure but its a VIRUS you cant cure any virus. so people really need to calm down.

There are a number of reasons.

    1) It's highly contagious and looks like it will ultimately spread around the world.

    2) It has the potential to mutate into something that will kill large amounts of people.

    3) At the moment we have no vaccination or cure.

wow, finally someone who agrees with me :D.

I live in New Brunswick where there has only been 1 reported case, and the woman had just got back from the states. everybody thinks its so deadly and if they get it theyre going to die. its crazy, but can be funny.

ive printed off so many things to show people that your not very likly to die from it because its like the flu.. lol

It has the potential of mixing and mutating with other diseases, and if it does well yeah.
