Theologically speaking, God exists outside of 4-D space/time so grammar like "busy with before..." does not apply, and even if it did, God is totally complete in Himself in every respect so I guess He'd be pretty good at keeping Himself occupied. If there's any clue though, I'd look to Isaiah where it describes the battle in heaven and the fall of a third of the angels before the creation - it sounds like God, if He was busy dealing with anything, He was busy dealing with the troublemakers among His angels.

As for asking how God came "into" existence from nothing, I'd be wondering the same about us humans, seeing as if there's no God we came into existence from, ultimately, nothing.
