In Wicca, would this spell be morally okay?
I know that in Wicca, casting general love spells to attract love is okay, but casting one on a specific person is immoral, because it's taking away their free will.
So what about if you meet someone for the first time and make a real hash of it, and want to make them forget about what a stuff-up it was? Is that okay? Or is that taking away their free will to interpret the meeting any way the want?
Please don't say things like "spells don't work" and "try talking to them instead" - this is just out of curiosity to know what would be okay and what wouldn't. I'm not necessarily planning to use the spell.
Erm... Spells are quite hard to undo... Impossible, in fact. The effects may lessen as the energy makes its way back into the Earth, but once you've cast something there is no ctrl+z, as far as I know. Hence the moral dilemma. If someone cast this spell, there aren't any take-backs.

When all else fails fall back on the established axiom "if it feels wrong it probably is".
If you are a devote of Wicca then you are subject to its rules (as taught to me by an septuagenarian self proclaimed witch, used to dance outside on the winter solstice with a bunch of naked women worshipping Cerounus and everything) According to him when you cast you must strive to do no harm or you are subject to receive negative consequences three fold.
I think he was suggesting that no matter what 'power' you possess your motives must be pure or bad things could result.
That or he was just some gieser who likes to wax magical/philosophic in order to perve on younger women.

No, it's not okay (at least not in my path). You're directly casting a not necessarily beneficial spell on that person without their permission. Talking to them would not only be simpler but more morally righteous, as stuffing up your first meeting is hardly something that you really need magic for - just because you can do magic doesn't mean you should whip it out for every little inconvenience.

You could use this spell so long as at a later date you give them back their free will. I mean, at some point you'll have to let them decide by themselves if they like you. If you cast a spell to make them forget what a mess up it was, you'll have to undo the spell at some point in the future and let them decide. That's my opinion. Don't know what Wiccans would say.
But never forget, there are always consequences. There's always a pay-back time.

First of all, such a thing won't work. Second, would you appreciate people messing with your memories? Third, there are no do-overs in real life. What you do you cannot undo, and believing otherwise is both delusional and irresponsible.

If you put your emotional needs before theirs then you have every reason to be questioning whether it's morally okay.

It would be altering who they normally are to suit what you want them to be...in plain english, altering their free will, so no, it would be immoral.
