If I apply to a place I used to work will they know?
I worked at an HMV in Edmonton about 3 years ago and am now living in BC (vancouver area) and thought about applying.
Problem is I didn't quit in such a great way. I stopped showing up and actually left the province.
Didn't call or anything.
Now I'm thinking of applying to one out here, but I'm wondering if they would know I had worked there before? It's not on my resume and no one I worked with before actually still works there.
Do I put it on the resume and just come clean, pretend it didn't happen or do I steer clear of all HMVs for life? haha

Well, I bet. If in the application it says have you worked for us before then you should just be honest. You don't want to get the job, then a few weeks be fired because you lied about it.

You would still be on file, and they could look you up.
If you do apply, tell them the truth. Because if they find out later it will make you look bad.
