Has anyone just plain given up on their refund DD who is a 31ster?

I won't even check anymore because it's Friday almost 6AM, no update, and I am still a processing by the 31ster as of this time.

Update:

Right now I have no money and this uncertainty is too much. I put my car in the shop to get fixed, and it's fixed but now these a'holes can't get their act together. This is the first year I have been dependent on my tax return. I may have a interview out of state making good money and I'm f**k8d because I don't have my car, no money and barely any food. I hate the IRS right now.

Well this might help. I'm still at 1/31 and have been since I got accepted and I got accepted on 1/17. But a girl told me that shae talked to the IRS this morning and they told her that anyone stuck on 1/31 should have a DD deposit date of 2/1. I'm so hopefull. But I'm about to call the IRS myself and ask them only because I called the H & R Block 1-800 number and they told me 1/30. I will get back with you on the info I get!! Have a good day!!

I just checked and still getting the 1/31 date also. I have talked to the IRS 7 times in the last 72 hours and all they tell me is it is still processing. I was hoping this morning would at least get me a DD day but no such luck. I guess I will check Monday again as they don't do anything over the weekend.

When the IRS announced the opening of the 2012 filing season, it advised taxpayers who electronically file and select direct deposit that they could see their refunds in as few as 10 days and 90 percent of refunds are provided within 21 days. Some taxpayers are getting refunds much faster, but at this time taxpayers should expect refunds to be issued as indicated in the original IRS guidelines.

The one-week delay for some refunds relates to fine-tuning IRS systems to adjust for new safeguards put in place this tax season to provide stronger protection against refund fraud. The IRS is providing additional screening for fraud this year before issuing refunds, but the vast majority of taxpayers can still continue to expect to receive their refunds in a timely fashion.

And did you use your personal checking account for this purpose of the DD or another account holder that the preparer used for this purpose.

Another account holder can and will add a few more working days to the DD date usually into the next week from the possible Wednesday EARLY AM SENT OUT date of the week.

Hope that you find the above enclosed information useful. 01/27/2012

I am in the same boat!! I was accepted 1/18 and ever since it has gave me the same "should receive by 1/31" message. Still no dd today and wmr still saying the same thing. Very disappointing.. It is very frustrating when you know you have money coming, and you need it, and it just won't get in the bank.

I am rowing in the same boat with everyone else and without a paddle. I am disappointed with how this is going, as bad as the economy is the IRS should have known most people getting refunds would file as soon as they could.

I filed 4 returns and they were accepted on the 13th, Myself, my ex,... My 2 daughters were accepted on the 17th, (yeah submited on taxact.com really early, Jan 5th!! and the went thru early also!) I got mine dd on 25th, wife received hers also, 2 daughters didn't. Called the 800 number and was told too many returns crashed the system and was not expected, so now told they will receive theirs by Feb 22. !!!!! due to processing delays, all were filed and accepted on the same day!!!!!

I am beginning to see a pattern here now, I think they are slooowly getting to us 1st batchers FINALLY, according to everybody's acceptance times for 17th they are hopefully locating those returns and processing them and updating wmr with deposit dates. That's what I am really hoping cuz I don't know how to swim and my boat is sinking really fast. But still not fair, we file on time and now getting blamed as early filers who backed logged their system so we get punished by not getting refund on time. I was always taught 1st come 1st serve not come late and get processed 1st.
