Icing without powdered sugar?
I am looking for a good icing recipe for cupcakes that has no powdered sugar, milk (for allergy reasons), eggs, or chocolate. I want to make cupcakes for my students but have no icing!
I've tried google, but can't find anything. I live in Paraguay, which means a walk to the grocery store, and it's raining. Therefore I am stuck with what I've got. I have regular coarse sugar, water, oil, etc
Thanks for your help!

Hi, if you have regular sugar, you can put it in a blender on high and make powdered sugar out of it. Then you can use the powdered sugar you made in any icing recipe that calls for it. An easy icing recipe is 3 sticks of butter (1 1/2 cups or 24 Tablespoons) and 1 pound of powdered sugar with 1 teaspoon of extract (vanilla or whatever). Cream your butter a little first with a mixer, add the extract and then the sugar 1/2 at a time and mix in between additions.
