When using frozen fruit in a cake recipe ?

. . . do you thaw the fruit first or do you just throw it in frozen, for example blueberries FYI: The blueberries will be coated with flour and cinnamon and placed at the bottom of the pan. Please and thank you !

    Usually defrost, so you can drain excess fluid out, unless otherwise stated in the recipe.

    Thaw first, I learned the hard way, there was too much liquid when the fruit thawed out in the oven The texture of cakes are much better with fresh or at least thawed fruit.
