What do you think of this couples situation, and Yahoo's spin on it?
This showed up on Y! front page news this week, the story of a frustrated husband who kept a spreadsheet of his wifes reasons for not having sex over several weeks. He sent her a copy of his spreadsheet as she was leaving on a business trip. She read it and posted it on the internet. Now Y! has added their own spin on the couples problems.

My take? The husbands attempt to communicate with his wife, though awkward and immature, was private. Her response, to post his plea on the internet was inappropriate, it was supposed to be a private matter. Y!'s attempt to make it "interesting" by adding their own cute twist to her spreadsheet responses is a gross misuse of their position as an internet service provider. If it were me in his shoes, I'd leave my spouse in the rear view mirror for posting this on the net, what's your opinion?

They are obviously both immature because they couldn't handle this problem face to face before it became a game of sex sherades. Now I do believe a private life starts with a P for a reason because it's meant to be private so she was wrong in my opinion for posting his notes. He probably is just the type that likes to document things. So she didn't have to humiliate him like that. I don't think it's divorce worthy but definitely worth an assertive, square face talk where they each keep it real with eachother and come up with a solution to their intimacy problems because they can't keep not having sex. Might as well not be together if it's going to remain that way and they can't get it back. Also anytime you post something be it on reddit, facebook or twitter etc. it will make you look worse than your partner but it's too late for that. Hopefully she's learned from that childish behavior as well.

Yeah, she is in the wrong entirely. He was merely communicating, which is what you do in a relationship.

clearly the wife was boasting over how clever and manipulative she is at controlling and evading her husband's needs and desires. she must be quite proud of herself.

Gotta give him credit for being persistent.
It appears she gets in the mood for sex about once every 2-3 weeks. Not sure why he hasn't picked up on that, especially after creating a spreadsheet that clearly shows the trend. He could have saved himself a lot of effort, and frustration.
Posting it on reddit was much more embarassing for her than for him, if you ask me. Not sure what she was thinking.
Yahoo's article was, of course, tasteless, but they're in the business of trying to generate page loads, and sex (or in this case, excuses for not having sex) sells.
The whole situation makes me feel much better about my own marriage and the give-and-take with my wife. "I'm gross; I need a shower"--I've heard this one; my response is, "Let's take one together" which works sometimes. Other times, I encourage her to shower, and when she steps out, I'm there with a towel--and a hard-on.
