Can my parents force me to come home after I turn 18?

At 18, unless you have been declared incompetent, your parents have no legal way of making you return. However, they have absolutely no responsibility to give you money, let you enter there property ever again, or anything. If your parents are upset that you've left, they don't have to supply you healthcare. Especially if you leave the country.

Your parents can;t make you do anything after you turn 18. But they don't need to help you with college or pay your health insurance either, and they don't need to let you back into the house. So a wise person would try to leave on good terms.

I hope you know that health insurance won't cover you outside of the US. And I certainly hope you don't expect them to pay for college anymore. At 18 you are legally an adult and can do whatever you like - but you can suffer the consequences as well. When it comes to insurance and college costs no one could care less if your parents are alcoholics. It has nothing to do with anything.

They can't make you do anything after you turn 18, nor do they have to support you in any way or even talk to you ever again. How are you paying for College?

If they are paying your way, then why leave? If they are claiming you on taxes, then you can tell them whats what. Either way, you are an adult now, and you probably shouldnt be surprised if they dont want you to come back,
