Can I dipped "Pigs in Pretzel Dough" in a lye bath or brush it on?
i typically use a 60% lye solution for my Bavarian soft pretzels. However I want to make cocktail dogs wrap in soft pretzel and I'm not sure if the lye is going to affect the cocktail dogs or not.

Both, but it is easier to brush it on, then top with the salt, I add a bit of egg white to help it stick better
