I feel so guilty :( Car problems?

So my dad just gave me a car for my birthday (4 days ago), and as I was pulling out of my driveway, i hit the curb and scratched one of the rims...Its not that bad but it's scuffed about 1-2 inches.

I feel so guilty and im becoming upset. I want to tell my dad but I dont want to upset him and make him think i dont appreciate the gift because i scratched it already.

what do i do?!

You know your dad better than any person out in cyberspace. If your father is has any sort of fatherly intuition he probably expects something like this to happen. I'll tell you one thing. A year from now, whatever action you take, it won't matter (telling, or not). Whatever you do, don't lie about it. I'd advise telling him. If he's prone to harsh language, just take the tongue lashing, and after he's finished with his tirade, promise to try and be more careful. The do it..

Copy and paste this question as a text message to your friend and then show your dad the text message.

Better to just admit to yourself that you could have been more careful and learn from your mistake. Beating up on yourself is pretty pointless.
