Is frozen salmon ok to eat? ?
I’ve only opened the package when I bought it, then I placed it into the freezer, but now it’s out of date, would it be still ok to cook?

Constantly frozen canned salmon, at 0°F, remains safe for consumption for up to 3 months.

If you put it in the freezer when it was still 'in date' it should be OK to eat when you've defrosted it.

Hard to say, why do you think it might not be safe to eat?

Of course it is ok to eat. The whole purpose of freezing something is to extend the life of it.

Absolutely fine if it was frozen when you first bought it (ie before the use by date)

Freezing stops time - it will be good to eat for a very long time - might not be AS good if you leave it in a frost free freezer for more than 6 months but it will not be harmful to eat just freezer burned.

I would thaw it first.
Of course it is still fine.
You place items in the freezer to keep them for use at a later time.

As long as it hasn't been frozen for more than a couple of months, it should be fine. Make sure you defrost it properly and cook it thoroughly.
