My Microwave is making a loud humming noise, can anyone help?
While the door is closed it sounds like a transformer humming. When you open the door the humming noise stops. Has anyone encountered this problem? What's wrong with it? It still works.
6 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWhat rock creates soap suds when rubbed with water?
When I was little my grandparents owned about 80 acres, There was a type of rock in one of their creeks that when rubbed in water created what looked like soap suds. My grandfather told me it was "Soapstone" I assume because of that quality. Now that I'm older now, I realize that real Soapstone doesn't create soap suds. What rock does and what color is it???
1 AnswerEarth Sciences & Geology1 decade agoWhat is the legality of this horror?
When I was in the Navy I had 100% health care coverage through Tricare and my wife at the time was covered under the policy. She was going to doctors and getting treatment a lot. In May we separated and then in July I was discharged. I returned to my home state and proceeded to file for divorce. We have now been divorced for a couple of months. Today I received a letter in the mail from a law office in the state of our residence (back then) stating that I owe a medical center $5,000 and that it is an attempt to collect a debt. I have a sickening feeling in my gut telling me that this is hurting my credit and that I cannot do anything about it. How do I fix damaged credit from something like this and is it even legal for them to report on MY credit report? She was the one getting treatment and failed to tell tricare about it. I had no knowledge of this until now, now that I'm divorced! O did I forget to mention that she currently has no job and no way to pay it off which leads me to believe that if we are both liable, she can't pay, I'm not going to pay it will continue to hurt my credit. Is this true?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWhy is my truck running "rough" and a lack of power?
I drove my truck home from work on Friday and everything was fine. Today I started the truck and it sounded and felt like it was running a little rougher than usual. I peeked under the hood and there was a mouse nest between the head and the manifold. When I finished pulling all of the nest out, I found a connector and the wires had been stripped. So I separated the two wires that run into the connection and they were not broken just stripped. I thought that maybe it was because of the 30 degree weather and the motor just needed to warm up. Well about fifteen minutes later I drove away and I found out that there was not much power. It will not accelerate very fast at all and when I go up an incline it decelerates. When I get to a speed where the transmission is going to shift, it gains the power back (about 5mph before and 5mph after shifting). What is wrong with my 1996 V6 Dodge Dakota?
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHow do I convince my father that he should go to Anger Management?
My father has serious anger issues that I unfortunately acquired by hereditary means. I am now in my early twenties and have already addressed my anger problems. I did this through Anger Management along with a strong need to not be like my father. I've moved back to my hometown and I am sickened by the reality of my fathers words/actions. (For the sake of my mother) if anyone can help, how do I convince him to go to Anger Management???

14 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoWhy can't people understand this about money?
Why can't people understand that it is smarter to save up for a vehicle, buy it, and then start saving for the next one. Has everyone become spoiled and rotten, I call this ignorance the: "I want it now because I forgot to pay attention to my parents about money" syndrome. Is this a reasonable belief?
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoDo I still need a co-signer?
My wife and I went to buy a new car at a chevy dealership and both of our credit scores are pretty bad. Hers is in the 400 and mine is in the 550 range. They used mine for that reason. Anyways, I had a auto loan for a truck I bought a while ago and the bank required the title for the truck and I never sent it to them. They in turn, deemed the loan "unsecured". I sold my truck and didn't pay the loan off (since it was deemed "unsecured") to build my credit back up. On my credit report it say's "auto loan." Therefore when the dealership tried to get me approved for a loan, they told me that I needed a co-signer. They said it was because the bank they were trying to get me a loan through needed justification for two vehicles. Now if I was to pay the old vehicle loan off, would I not need a co-signer?

14 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoI need some advise about my wife, can you help?
We have a baby, he sleeps in bed with us and wakes up periodically throughout the night to obtain breast milk. If we aren't tired my wife will lay on the couch and give him breast milk until he falls asleep, then she will get up so that we can spend time together and have a break. When he awakes on the couch and gets breast milk he'll go back to sleep because it is during his normal sleeping hours. He just woke up on the couch and I asked my wife to give him breast milk quickly so that he would remain asleep and she told me that she was eating. So he woke up, when he does this it takes a good hour of rocking to get him back to sleep. Since I'm the only one who can rock him to sleep it angered me that she didn't respond quickly. For some reason she expects me to put him back to sleep and is angery at me because I said that I wouldn't. If she caused his awakening, knows how long it takes to put him back to sleep, and expects me to do it, what gives her the right to be angery at me?

9 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agoIs this ok???
I work the graveyard shift and my wife does not work. I am forced to work this shift though I like it. When I get home at 7 or 8 AM she almost everyday wakes me up by nagging or putting our son on me to take care of him after only 5 or 6 hours of sleep. Then she says that she doesn't get good sleep. Is what she does to me right or wrong, keeping in mind she has no logical reason to do it?
