  • Should I go to Couples Resorts in Jamaica or Secrets Resorts in Riviera Cancun?

I'm looking for a resort with a beautiful clear beach and clear water. I know Jamaica has really nices beaches.

But Secrets is opening two new resorts in Cancun that are in my price range.

Both resorts are luxury all inclusive... so it's really just the beach that I am concerned with. Thanks!

  • Where is their an all inclusive resort that has clear beaches and clear blue water?

It is for a Honeymoon in November. I do not want to go to DR. I want something that is all inclusive and really nice and not to many kids. Main thing is that the beach is clear and the water is crystal! I was thinking of the new Secrets resorts that is opening in the Rivera Cancun but since its new...there are no reviews.

But if you had to pick...

    Riviera Cancun

    Mayan Riviera

    Negril

    Ochos Rios

    Unless you have another alternative.

    Thank You!

  • How to I get insurance immediatly with a pre-existing condition?

My mother-in-law had a stroke on Saturday and has been in the hospital since then. She was laid off four months ago and did not purchase the cobra. The insurance her and her husband bought had turned out to be a scam and doesn't cover the hospital bill which is now $20,000. She also will require Live In Physical Therapy for the next few weeks which is about $1000 a day. We live in NYC and she does not qualify for medicare/medicaid.

Is there anyway to get her insurance to cover the Physical Therapy (since is might be considered a pre-existing condition) and is there any way to reduce the hospital bills accrued so far?

    Thanks!

  • What material should my Bridesmaid's dresses be?

My bridal gown shirt is organza over satin. I've heard that if a bride wears a satin gown, then the bridesmaids should wear a satin dress. I wanted to get chiffon for them cause I just think it has a more relaxed look than satin. what do you think? Will Chiffon look weird next to my Organza dress?

  • If my future in-laws don't want me to have a specific person as a bridesmaid, should I comply?

I'm getting married in a few months and want to use a friend as a bridesmaid. I have known her for 13 years and she is one of my best friends. BUT, she also dated my fiance's brother for 9 years and they broke up about 2 years ago. Although she is not a bad person, my future in laws despise her. My fiance doesn't want me to put her in either, only because it will cause problems with his parents. They don't want her in the wedding party pictures either. My fiance's brother said that he doesn't really have a problem with it. If I don't put her in, it might just be my sister and she's really irresponsible. Should I put her in against my fiance and my fiance's parents wishes or should I just not put her in to avoid any drama? If I don't put her in, how do I tell her?

  • Do you know the name of that Children's Video game system for learning that can be attached to the TV?

I thought it was leap frog but I can't find anything like that. I remember in the commercial that it was a system that was attached to the television. Its not Wii, PS1, 2, or 3 and its not Xbox.

  • My fiance's family are practicing Hindu's. His Grandmother just died. Do we have to wait 1 year to marry?

His grandmother died about 2 weeks ago. We were planning to get married on March 21st 2008. We aren't too sure about the customs and don't think its the right time to bring it up to his parents.

  • Is he becoming an alcoholic? This is a really long story?

My boyfriend does not drink at home and only drinks when he goes out with his friends, but most times when my boyfriend goes out, he gets smashed, to the point where someone has to help him into the house.

A couple of months ago, we had a series of weddings and birthdays to attend. At a birthday party, he got really drunk, almost got into a fight with someone in a bar. At a wedding, he got really really drunk, made a little scene and passed out again when he got home. A week later at another wedding where he was a groomsman, he got so drunk that he made a scene, threw chairs, and some other stuff.

Now, after the last wedding, he said he was never going to get like that again (upon threat of a break up). Since then, he hasn't drank, which I was really proud of and happy for. I knew that he would eventually drink again, but I thought he would be better.

Last night, we went to dinner with his bro and cousin, we had a few drinks and then went back to his house and (cont.)

  • Does he have a right to be angry? I need a neutral opinion?

My friend's birthday was this past weekend and my friend, along with two other people scheduled to have dinner this Thursday. Now, one of my friend's fiance's grandfather is having surgery on Thursday so he can't do dinner that day and the four of us agreed that we want to have dinner together and not miss someone. So we rescheduled for tomorrow.

I told my fiance about the reschedule and now he's upset with me because "I made plans and changed them last minute" and that "why can't I just have dinner on the day I originally had minus that one person. Why does plans have to change for that one person when it isn't even their birthday."

We had no plans tomorrow besides going to the gym but I can do that in the morning instead. Also, nothing had to be rescheduled for me to have dinner on Thursday or Tomorrow. Basically i had no other plans this week besides going home afterwork.

  • New York City'ers.... How long did it take you to get to work this morning?

It took me FOUR HOURS to get to Wall Street from Queens. If the MTA can't handle rain and make service run smoothly... how dare they demand a fare hike??? Say no to the fare hike!!

  • Best Man Speech Ice Breaker Suggestions?

    2 Questions:

    1. I am the FEMALE Best Man for my friend's wedding next month. I need to make two speeches because they are having two ceremonies. I just need a good ice breaker that will get a good laugh and not be lewd since the first ceremony is a religious one.

    2. At the religious ceremony, it is more catered towards the groom's family so I wanted to mentioned someone on that side who had passed away. The groom's mother died a year ago and I wanted to mention her in the speech, like saying how she would be proud of her son and stuff like that and compare her a little bit to the bride. Would that be appropriate or no? I used to go over to their house a lot when I was younger so I've spoken to his mom a few times but I wasn't very close with her. She was always a nice lady.

    Thanks!

  • Am I being selfish or is he?

I would like my fiance to attend family/friend events but he wont cause he thinks they are "losers". My parents and I have a difficult past but we've overcame it. My fiance does not forgive them for what happened so he refuses to be around them.

He doesn't like going out w/my friends cause he says they are boring. He does not want to bring me out with his friends because he says that he cant have a good time because he will have to be with me all night. He doesn't talk to me about problems w/ his family because its "his families issues and it doesn't concern me".

I don't want to be one of those couples that can't go out together and I want him to be a participant in events in my life and I want to participate in his. But I feel like i'm talking to a wall because he is so mean everytime I ask him to come out to things...he's always like "hell no".

I hate forcing people to go places, but if we are getting married, should he just suck it up? I would do it for him.

  • My fiance doesn't want a wedding. What should I do?

My fiance is not excited about having a wedding, doesn't want to participate in one, will not consider ideas for one, doesn't want his family there (they DO get along). He says its because no one on his side is happy to see him get married so he doesn't want one (he's 21, parents think he's too young, I'm 25).

He did "offer" having a small wedding with just my side but I think thats pointless since a wedding is about the joining of two people and two families.

However, he's all for marriage and is excited about the marriage and "future" part. I org. wanted a big wedding but have skimmed it down tremendously. Its making me very sad and depressed. I feel like I've made many compromises and he hasn't and I feel like I'm being punished for his parents uninvolvement. I've always envisioned a wedding with my loved ones around. How do I make him understand how important it is for us to have a wedding?

  • How do I limit my home router so that only my computers have internet access?

I have a laptop and a desktop computer and I have a wireless router in my house. I think anyone who lives in the vicinity can jump on to my internet. I know its not safe. How do I close it out so that only my laptop and my office computer get internet access? Will it be safe from hackers after that? Please give me step by step instructions as I am a computer illiterate! Thanks!

  • would you take offense to this?

My fiance got a new job at a company that does award shows for celebs. Theres this show in a few months & he gets to go and bring someone. Here is the conversation.

    Me: Oh can I come?

Him: Well... I'm not taking you if you don't lose some wait.

Me: (thinking he's joking) Yea right.

HIm: If you don't go to the gym, i'm not taking you....

I'm 5' 9" and 200 pounds. I know my big butt needs to go the gym. But as my fiance, I think that he should accept me for how I am. It makes me feel like he's embarrased or ashamed to bring me out. He's never said anything like that before when its just friends and fam. I think its really shallow & insulting that he said that if its just because there are celebs.

He's apologized but it was one of those "whatever" kind of sorrys. I told him he really hurt my feelings and he got mad & said i'm overreacting.

I'm really pissed off &my feelings are hurt. I don't think i'm overreacting. We are not talking now.
