Need help with VBA code in Excel for clearing contents of cells based on value of another.?
Hello,
I am attempting to clear the contents of a cell by checking for a date change in cell H4, then comparing it to today's date. If it does not equal today's date, then it will clear the signature block which resides in a merged cell G13:J17. After a few iterations, the code below did not produce errors, but also did not clear the contents of G13:J17 when the date was changed in cell H4. I think I'm missing something obvious.
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target.Address = "$H$4" Then
If Range("$H$4") <> Date Then
Range("G13:J17").ClearContents
End If
End If
End Sub
2 AnswersProgramming & Design2 years agoHow do I adjust air pressure on a air compressor for paint spray gun.?
How do I adjust air pressure on a Porter Cable C3151 TYPE 1 4.5 Gallon Air Compressor to 40 psi (for paint sprayer) with adjustment knob without having the compressor run all day long? When I try to adjust the pressure the motor will kick on and attempt to build up pressure back to 140 psi. Do I need an inline pressure regulator or am I just doing something wrong. The max inlet pressure on my Kobalt small gravity feed spray gun states 43psi max inlet.
3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)8 years ago2003 ford explorer / Changed tires - two different brands / Now has jumpy acceleration?
I just changed out four Good Year Fortera tires for 2 GY Fortera and 2 Firestone. Afterward, most of the time upon using passing acceleration the truck's gear or brakes seemed jumpy. I can almost describe this like how the 4X4 feels like when it engages in low. I tried swapping the rear tires to the front and now the problem feels like its the opposite. Now acceleration is fine but when the truck slows down I feel the same jumpiness even awhirringg noise as if the truck were in slowing down in 4X4 low. I visually checked the ABS speed sensor on the front tires. Did not see one for the back. I'm guessing its located somewhere near the differential. What could the fix for this be?
Update: Pulled the ABS fuse, no joy, same problem plus had ABS light. Pulled 4X4 fuse (vbatt 2 & 1)#17 and #18, problem went away except of course for occasional flash of in-dash 4X4 high and low lights and ABS light. I haven't disconnected the differential ABS sensor if this at all is an ABS problem.
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs10 years agoMy wife's phone is locked and she flirts with guys at work and old friends.?
This all started way back when I was deployed to Nevada for about two months. I bought a web cam so that me and my wife could stay in touch after work. When I got back however I noticed that she was acting differently. She alluded to open marriage, she was always taking her phone with her and I eventually found out she was calling this guy and talking for long periods of time mostly during the night and the occassional call before work. I finally found emails between them saying that he enjoyed "last weekend" etc. I confronted her and then she denied anything was going on. On the plus side she eventually cut ties with him in the long run and from what I hear he got his in the end.
Now we've constantly fight about regular married life things. At this point she thinks its too much and wants out. I know that we haven't been perfect for each other and we have our differences. I've been more laid back and get over things easier than she does and she holds on to things.
My current problem is that she flirts with guys at work, her old job and who knows who else. Of course I realize people sometimes harmlessly do this to make themselves feel alive, wanted, attractive. But it doesnt stop at work. At this point her phone is locked, she texts alot, facebooks even more. I've seen the late night messages from a guy who said "all tucked in", morning texts of "hey beautiful", texts from workers saying they "missed her smile on the way out" I've talked with her about it and let her know how it makes me feel. Ive actually come to realize her lack of self esteem and having the void that she lacks in our marriage filled with other men. I believe its wrong, since she's previously had problems with this and it would suck to have to relive the past one text at a time. I've expressed that her locking her phone just smacked of her hiding something, which she did not deny. Her response was that if I didn't look I wouldnt see anything. Haha yeah. ok. I guess that her being this way with people at work would be more of an out of sight out of mind thing for me, but when she has her phone on silent, locked and texting, facebooking people constantly at home, with our kids present just is disrespectful not to mention hurtful and just taking away from the "US" time we should be spending mending our relationship.
She is adamant about spending time with her friend, who seems to invite her to dinner, parties, concerts and get togethers. One text even asked her friend if her husband's friend was also coming along. Which I could easily take out of context but why worry.
I realize that our marriage is rocky, and she vents to her friends and very likely her male coworkers. Its obvious that she has conversations with them that make it ok to text her later at night, in the morning with the "all tucked in" "hey beautiful" comments, which I would consider odd for a married person to receive. I would definitely not feel comfortable even if I did flirt with women at work, for them to text me when they go to bed and tell me good morning handsome. Its not right. Doesn't feel right for me.
Of course I believe we need our little private moments, but the old wounds just open up when I see stupid texts, her secretive phone, and her wanting to spend more time away from me.
Any advice?
12 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoMarriage advice? What can I do. I'm lost.?
I'm in a bit of a quandry. I've been married for about 4 years but it seems like my wife and I are on separate pages. At the moment however I've felt like her controlling attitude has been overwhelming to say the least. Recently I had plans to go out with friends on either Saturday or Sunday, trying to keep things flexible seeing that my friend had things to do on Saturday morning. As it appeared, the best day to do go out would have been on Sunday since it would give my friend time to help his girlfriend move. That morning my wife asks me if I had any plans to go out, I asked for Sunday. For some reason she wanted me to change it to Saturday from 9am to 3pm, granted that it was approximately 8:30 in the morning. So trying to compromise I said I would go out on Saturday but not at that time. Keep in mind at this time she did not tell me she had plans to go out that she had expressed to me. We then proceeded to go out shopping at the local thrift store which is was her decision and then to Home Depot to get a mop wringer since she decided to mop the kitchen floor and left the dirty mop in the sink overnight. When we returned from shopping she asked what time I wanted to go out I told her that I'd be going out at around 4pm. In this process of me telling her this she expressed contempt in the fact that she had made plans to go out with her friend that night as well.
Background to the story was that she felt it necessary for me to be able to go out with my friends and I expressed to her that her controlling nature had actually stopped me from wanting to go out and do things because if I did I'd get grilled as to who I was going with, jealous texts as to hoping that I was having fun with the girl, etc. This from a person that has previously cheated on me, currently flirts with guys at work and on her cell phone and only response is "sorry you had to see that" and this is who I am and I can't change it attitude.
From the surface it appears that I am a great p*ssy. But you have to believe in something, in my case I believe in marriage as wimpy as it may sound. Her biggest complaint to me is that we always argue and that I don't do enough around the house, which she voices to me and her friends and mother. I can't seem to comprehend what the H*ll she expects from me other than complete control and obedience. There is no way that I can live in a happy relationship like this.
So once I tried to go out and do things like she suggested (considering that I've stepped up my chore completion rate lol) she still seems to want to control when I go out, going as far to call me a liar that I did not have any concrete plans to go out (how could I? She proved it to me by wanting me to change it to Sat and in her terms from 9am to 3pm) Its seriously agonizing to go through this relationship knowing that I cannot have normal relationships with females, since she used to bend things to seem like I was cheating on her with perfectly innocent friends and her going as far as contacting them and essentially killing my friendships.
My question would be? Considering I have to kids age 1 & 2. After a couple bouts with counseling which she did not follow the suggestions: What is left for me to do? How can I not go through my daily life not thinking about separating knowing that and agonizing over the fact that if we separate our kids will be apart. She seems cold all the time and does not show any outward showing of affection, we don't have sex on a regular basis due to what she considers as a "mental thing". Yes mental. She claims that men a physical and not emotional like females are. Well alot of females that I know are both. Previous and current infidelities on her part make me feel like a dupe. I've had alot of issues with her performing tasks i.e. her cleaning consists of throwing things in a closet and after wards asking me to help and going so far as to razzing me about having things in there. Uggghh. I don't know what to do. Can somebody please make sense of this?? Please.

I am wanting to purchase a Benchmade 5000, auto knife at a local retailer, but I was reading the Virginia state law and it specifies switchblades as being illegal. Even though the store claims that it can sell them to me since I am active duty military, can I legally open carry it while not at work? If so what are the legal references?

8 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoIsn't anyone sick of negative connotations involved with decribing immigrants?
I am truly getting sick with ignorant people classifying all illegal immigrants as Mexican. Dirty mexicans and the list goes on. Saying that they are innately criminals? What then does that make the people who break laws every day in the U.S? It makes the majority criminals. It is just so short sighted that's all.
I've noticed a link between how blacks were treated as slaves. They weren't even referred to as real people. Inferior. Innately dirty and criminals. We all know this isn't true, yet you see people reverting to our nations horrible racist roots.
If you are racist you don't belong in Yahoo answers extolling how people who come to the U.S. out of necessity to work and support their families across "political" borders - dirty and criminals. I think racists are dirty and criminals. On another note, many immigrants are not from Mexico at all. And yes some racists will say "what's the difference?" Well my friend how would YOU like to be called a non-american?
17 AnswersImmigration1 decade agoWhy all the hubbub about Immigrants?
Why do we even worry about silly laws. I'm sure there would have been plenty of "Illegal" immigrants come into the U.S. back in the days if they had strict immigration laws. Then we wouldn't be having this conversation. How are immigrants from mexico detrimental to the people who worry about them? I've heard things like diseases and drugs (too late for that one, some of the diseases that are here were brought by europeans and the drugs are gonna get here no matter who it is bringing them over)
If you would study some economics immigrants help our gross domestic product a heap. Increased production at lower costs (labor) thus increasing profits, keeping supply up, recessions small (although unavoidable because it is a part of the business cycle). A major percentage of a family's income is spent on consumer items like food and necessities which they buy in the U.S., while the minor "savings" which people cry about leaving the country to relatives back in mexico is paltry in comparison
15 AnswersImmigration1 decade agoWhy do people who speak about their religious beliefs have to speak in Old English?
Isn't it about time they wrote the bible in our present lexicon? Maybe then they could get some more people to believe in their religion. Especially those with trouble understanding what the heck Shakespeare was talking about. Or could it be to make themselves sound more impressive and important?

The "T" key on my laptop just broke. Well, the little plastic cover (I guess the key itself?) just popped off its underlying connection.
Is this something that can be repaired or does the whole keyboard need to be fixed? It's only been about one month since I bought this laptop, so I should be under some sort of warranty still; I just don't relish the thought of sending the laptop away somewhere for who knows how long.
I've already changed the scissor-like plastic clip from another button, the "END" button, but I'd like to have my keyboard 100% without replacing the whole keyboard.
