Is there a way to adjust the volume of headphones separately from adjusting the volume on the audio/video receiver?
I have a terrible time hearing the dialogue while watching TV unless I use headphones. But when I plug the jack into the audio/video receiver, the sound goes mute and my wife cannot listen. Is there a way to separately control the volume of the headphones and TV speakers? I have a five year old Denon A/V receiver.
7 AnswersHome Theater3 years agoCan a cardiac electrophysiologist map PVCs when they are non-symptomatic?
I have dealt with PVCs and PACs since I was a kid. I am now 70 years old. Although several well-respected cardiologists have assured me--based on every diagnostic test you can imagine, including wearing a monitor for 30 days--that these arrhythmias are "normal" irregular beats, in recent years episodes come more often, last for hours or sometimes days and the frequency between the skipped beats are often every other or every fourth beat. Because I'm not always experiencing PVCs, a cardiac electrophysiologist tells me that an ablation cannot be performed because the mapping can only be completed during a period of time that the PVCs are actually happening. These irregular beats drive me absolutely insane. I've tried various medications but at best, they help reduce the occurrences. Given this information, do I have any viable options?
1 AnswerHeart Diseases4 years agoAny experts out there on Denon A/V receivers?
I own an older model Denon A/V receiver, model AVR-891. I have a 6-speaker surround sound system. Recently, the balance and volume between the speakers was way off. So, I ran Audyssey Auto Setup to fix the problem. Well it didn't work. In fact, the sound is worse. I tried running the Auto Setup a couple more time with no favorable results. What I hope to do is set the volume on EACH SPEAKER individually. However, I've gone through the owner's manual front to back a dozen times but there doesn't seem to be a way to set the speaker volume individually. Any suggests?

2 AnswersGoogle5 years agoIs this e-mail really from Yahoo?
I received a supposed email from Yahoo telling me to log in to my account within the next 30 days if I want to keep it active. The email claims that I haven't logged in for a while. I log in just about every day. Can anyone explain?

5 AnswersHistory5 years agoWhy can't I access my Yahoo Mail on my mobile device?
I use a Tracfone to make and receive calls and to check e-mail. Nothing else. Recently, I have been unable to access my mail. I go through the process but when it gets to the Yahoo main page, I see an image of a lock superimposed over the symbol of the Earth that indicates I'm connected to the WWW. At that point the screen no longer responds and I can't do anything. I've done everything I can think of to resolve this issue but can't fix it. I can sign into my Yahoo account from any device except my cell phone. Any suggestions?

My Uncle served as an Army Ranger in WWI. He fought in Salerno, Venafro, Anzio and was captured by the Germans in Cisterna, Italy. Fortunately, he escaped. Along with many other battle-worn Rangers, my uncle was granted leave right after we took control of Venafro. His R&R was in Naples. Here are my questions: 1. Naples is an hour and a half ride from Venefro. How did the Rangers get there? 2. Where did they stay? Did they roam freely with the locals? 3. Where did they shower, shave, sleep, eat, get clean clothing? 4. How about money? Were they given vouchers or were they on their own? 5. Were they allowed to stay at a local hotel?

Lots of people I know--particularly those with laptop computers--leave them on all the time--either in sleep or hibernate mode. Does this in anyway shorten the life of the computer?
