Christians: Why was Lucifer given the power of death if there is no death in heaven?
Hebrews 2:14
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoChristians: Is the EU the fulfillment of the prophecy of Daniel 2:42-43, and will Brexit be followed by other nations.?
Daniel 2:
42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoChristians: Do you know the hymn "One thing I of the Lord desire" and do your remember all of the words?
It is such a beautiful hymn and the words are so meaningful, but I can only remember three verses, and I really, really would like to remember the other verse..
It goes like this:-
One thing I of the Lord desire
Though all my paths have miry been
Be it by water or by fire (not literal fire)
O make me clean, O make me clean
Chorus:
So wash me thou, without, within
Or purged with fire, if that must be
No matter how if only sin,
Die out in me, die out in me,
If greater vision, thou impart
Grateful and glad my soul shall be
But yet to have a purer heart
Is more to me, is more to me
Chorus
Missing verse...............
I watch to shun the miry clay
And staunch the springs of guilty thoughts
But watch and struggle as I may
Pure I am not, pure I am not
Chorus;
So wash me thou, without, within
Or purged with fire if that must be
No matter how, if only sin
Die out in me, die out in me
Thanks and please no stupid answers

22 The Lord (Allah) possessed me (was in him) in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.(before creation)
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.(when there was no earth)
24 When there were no depths, (outer space) I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoI was answering the question "What's the story of Satan" with Bible verses when suddenly, try as hard as I could, I could not finish my?
answer. Now to my horror it was continued with a lot of nonsense. Did someone try to sabotage my answer. Even now I cannot edit it. I find it strange that this has happened and I cannot even get to edit the nonsense they have added.
Can Yahoo answer Team look into the matter, because what's the point of having a service if you cannot answer a question within the guidelines.

my answer. Now to my horror I see it was continued with a lot of nonsense. How is this possible? Did someone from YA answer team deliberately sabotage my answer? Even now I cannot get into the answer and edit it.

15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoChristians: Do you believe the Bible was revised to support the Trinity?
The Vulgate (/ˈvʌlɡeɪt, -ɡɪt/) is a late fourth-century Latin translation of the Bible that became, during the 16th century, the Catholic Church's officially promulgated Latin version of the Bible.
The translation was largely the work of St. Jerome, who, in 382, was commissioned by Pope Damasus I to revise the Vetus Latina ("Old Latin") collection of biblical texts in Latin then in use by the Church. Once published, it was widely adopted and eventually eclipsed the Vetus Latina and, by the 13th century, was known as the "versio vulgata" [1] (the "version commonly-used") or, more simply, in Latin as vulgata or in Greek as βουλγάτα ("Vulgate").
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoDid Jesus say that eternal life will be given to those who might know (believe) his Father is the only true God and that his Father sent him?
John 17:1-3 Father the hour is come; glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you. As you have given him power over all flesh, that he should GIVE eternal life to as many as you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they might know (believe) you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
