The little f-ers keep eating up my squash.

How would you go about deadheading daylillies? Cut the entire flower stem off? Just remove the bloom?

Just looking for ways to maximize the flowering.

Any other advice on daylillies would be appreciated.

I started Tomatoes and Tomatillos from seed this year in late March. Tomatoes are doing great and were planted in the ground about two weeks ago (I'm in the Washington DC area).

The Tomatillos seem to be doing OK, but are still only about 4 inches tall, with just a couple leaves.

Anyone have any advice on the best way to grow them? What kind of soil? What should I use for feed? I'm trying to stay organic, so I'd appreciate natural, organic methods.

I've got Tomato, Peppers (green, red, jalapeno, banana, cubanelle), cukes, zuchini, yellow squash, watermelon, and cantalope. What is the best commercially available organic food/fertilizer I can use on them?

What are some of the things you did to ease nausea/quesiness when you were pregnant? I realize everyone is different, but I'm just looking for ideas to give my wife. So far, it's been mild, but she is only 5 weeks.

This is ridiculous. How long are we going to put up with this crap? I, for one, am definitely going to start shopping for gas. Within a 5 mile radius of my house, there's a 10 cent range in prices. It's time we start fighting back.

I'd like to have a vegetable garden this year. I'd like it to be as close to totally organic as possible. Problem is, I have tons of deer and I don't want them to be eating everything I'm trying to grow.

Also, what about insects? Is there anything that can be done about them?

I'll probably get it started w/ some organic, store bought soil, then begin composting for next year's fertilizer.

OK, I have a very good friend in Iraq right now. Very Irish, and a huge fan of Guinness. St. Patrick's Day is like a religious holiday for him. A group of us want to send him a care package for St. Patty's. We can't send him a pint of anything, but thought it would be fun to send him beer related items. Other than Beer Nuts, what would you suggest?

Why is it that when I buy half and half from the grocery store, it must be refrigerated. But many times, when you see these little, disposable single serving containers, they don't need to be?
