i know no one knows 100% how they would react because i assume no one on here has gone through that (although i may be mistaken). I watched a Christopher Reeve interview online, post-accident, and it makes me cry how down to earth he remained. I don't think I'd be like that, I think I'd be miserable and ask to be unplugged (just my opinion).

My mom (who was born in europe and very old fashioned) says: "Do not stay in bed all day, get up and walk around, dress well and go outside to get some sun and fresh air, and force yourself to eat soup and bread! Don't lay in bed in your own sweat, you'll get sicker"

Really need an answer on this because it's day 3 with my flu and I really wanna get back to work.

i ask because my brother insists he did once. i've seen all his movies, i don't recall that.

When i watch a movie, and i really like a character, I unconsciously start acting and thinking like that character. I even mimic their body movements. And it usually takes me a few days to realize what i'm doing, unless a friend or family member points it out first. Is it a personality disorder? I do this without thinking.

I've noticed that some people I've come across in my life are so stubborn they'll do things their way even though I tried to teach them a better or simpler method. Same goes for patience, many go through their whole life and never even heard of that word, constantly impatient.

One slave in the film picked 500 pounds of cotton a day. Really? 500 pounds? Cotton doesn't weigh much and even if you're in the fields picking all day, 500 sounds exaggerrated.

Then yesterday I watched "12 years a slave" and i wept more then when i saw Passion of the christ. Good lord, was the white man that evil? and so widespread? (95% of the whites are portrayed as reincarnations of the devil himself. And im not even religious so that should speak volumes)

I'd like to read a good book on this. I've always been fascinated by humanities endless cycle of violence. History appears to teach us nothing in that regard.
