Did Sarah Palin cost McCain the election?
It's time to play the blame game. What caused him to lose?
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoHas this election revealed anything about race relations?
Is it just me or are racists coming out of the woodworks to say some really nasty things about Obama and black people in general? I've never thought it was this bad but it appears I had been blind.
18 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhat's next for Palin? Will she run for governor again?
It looks like Palin will go back to Alaska with a big mess on her hands with her popularity sinking with the locals. So what's next for Alaska's maverick?
44 AnswersElections1 decade agoAnyone out there who seriously thinks McCain has a chance? ?
I'd like to know and tell me why.
17 AnswersElections1 decade agoDoes Joe the plumber sound a little racist to you?
He said the following in an iterview:
“You know, I’ve always wanted to ask one of these guys a question and really corner them and get them to answer a question,” he said, “for once instead of tap dancing around it. And unfortunately I asked the question, but I still got a tap dance.”
He added, “Almost as good as Sammy Davis Jr.”
What do you think?
7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHow did McCain know about Joe the Plumber when he wasn't even there?
Any ideas? Do you think Joe the Plumber contacted McCain to stage this as a "gotcha" for Obama? (Sorry for using a Palinism)
12 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat will happen to Palin after the election?
Suppose that Obama wins then Palin will have to go back to Alaska where she has to answer to the Alaskans who don't seem to be too happy with her and the current investigation. To make the matter worse she will have been the laughing stock of politics for being such a stereotypical airhead. Do you think Palin damaged her political career by accepting the nomination?
4 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoIs racial prejudice a big part of this election?
Some the Republicans I talked to talk about doom and gloom about Obama and have far fetched ideas that he will bring the country into chaos. I've even seen members of KKK go out support McCain saying inaccurate and really far fetched statements regarding Obama like he'll side with the Muslims or that he'll be the next Hitler.
Will we ever get over this racial prejudice?
13 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoI'd like to know the demographics of registered Republicans and Democrats.?
In terms of:
- sex
- race
- age
Where can I find this information?
6 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoDo you think Chinese Olympic athletes have an advantage from a "judging bias"?
Typically the "home" team gets that extra edge from the judging bias but was judging in Beijing Olympic worse than prior Olympics? Especially in gymnastics? (or was it a result of a confusing new scoring system?)
4 AnswersOlympics1 decade agoWill Kwame resign, get kicked out, or will he make it till the end of his term?
His chances for reelection seems slim and I don't think that's even a consideration at this time. So what do you think will happen now?
5 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy can't people understand that Rep politician or Dem politician they're the same people?
You get all this mud slinging and propaganda from both sides calling each other names and what not but in reality it doesn't matter who gets voted in the office Rep or Dem, chances are it will be business as usual.
It's not a question of who is more conservative or who is more liberal. The bigger picture is really the same one that we've been dealing with all these years. The HAVES and HAVE NOTS.
And the ears of ALL Rep or Dem politicians are always open to the HAVES and not so much to the HAVE NOTS. You honestly think that neither candidates cater to lobbyists? I don't think so.
8 AnswersElections1 decade agoIs anyone surprised that Kwame Kilpatrick got jailed?
It seems to me the guy is guilty. Why are people still supporting him? Is this a racial thing like OJ Simpson?
I really hope people have enough sense to boot him out of office.
3 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoMy 5.8 Ghz cordless phone is faintly picking up a radio station on the background. How do I get rid of it?
My 5.8 Ghz cordless phone is faintly picking up a radio station on the background. How do I get rid of it?
I'm using a VOIP router with this regular phone but I don't think it's because of that. It doesn't make any sense that 5.8 Ghz band should be picking up FM radio signals.
1 AnswerLand Phones1 decade agoEvents like VT shooting happen everyday in Baghdad so why don't we care about what's going on Iraq?
Is this a case of Not In My Backyard? Seems to me that people are so narrowly focused on their lives and fail to connect with tragedies that happen every day around the world. Are Americans insensitive to what's going on in the rest of the world?
17 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoLakers clinched playoff spot? How?
Lakers W41 L40 - 1 Game Left
Warriors W40 L40 - 2 Games Left
LA Clippers W39 L41 - 2 Games Left
If Lakers lose they are W41 L41 and if Warriors win one and lose one they are also W41 L41 and if Clippers win both they are also W41 L41.
So how does the tiebreaker work and why are people saying that they are in the playoff for sure?
11 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoWill everyone over-react to the Virginia Tech shooting?
It's my guess that people are going to try to politicize this issue by bringing up gun control and violence in our society in general. After the grieving period is over the politicians are going to get on the bandwagon and start looking for the "culprit" and figure out exactly what went wrong to put the blame on someone or something.
Isn't it understandable that this is almost impossible to prevent in our society? How do you prevent someone from having a "breakdown" and doing something like this? Hate to say it but sh** happens and there wasn't a whole lot we can do as a society can do except brace for the next time something like this happens.
18 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoWhy do people think Muslims hate freedom and American ways?
Why do people think Muslims would want to have anything to do with America if it wasn't our involvement with Israel? Think they would give a rat's *** if we weren't buddy buddy's with Israel?
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIn light of current events, did U.S. set a precedence when it invaded Iraq?
United States invaded Iraq for the purpose bringing down a regime supportive of terrorism around the world. And innocent lives were sacrificed as a result and the situation in Iraq does not seem to have any immediate or viable solution.
Fast forward today, Israel invades Lebanon with the goal of wiping out a terrorist group supported by the Lebanese government and begins bombing of Beirut. I am finding the similarities of these events somewhat haunting.
Is this the New World Order? A war without borders? Are these logical responses to acts of terrorism? If not then what are the alternatives?
