  • Effects pedals all broke at the same time?

They've been working fine for 2 years, I've got 4 of them hooked up to my amp. One day they just stop working at the same time. I've checked my cables, they're fine. I've tried putting fresh batteries on each of them, and they still wont work. My power supply doesn't work either. The LED light doesn't turn on. Some of the pedals won't even bypass. It's the correct 9v AC negative tip. I've got my wires oriented correctly from input to output. Could I have somehow bonked my pedals by connecting it to the broken power supply? Is it just time for me to get new ones?

  • When can I change septum piercing into brass jewelry?

I am aware that I should wait about 2 months before I change a septum piercing's jewelry, but I wanted to change into something that's made of brass and it's not as healing friendly as metals such as titanium or stainless steel. I was wondering when is a safe time to change into brass jewelry.

How much would this tattoo cost?

I plan on having this on my left forearm, covering approximately half my forearm. I just want an outline with no shading or colour. How much do you think this would cost? Could you tell me a bit about the tattoo process?

  • Bike has chronic chain rub issues?

I've taken my bike to the shop to get my front derailleur tuned three times and at this point I am getting embarrassed about going back for the same problem so many times. After they fix it, the chain rub problem comes back in about one or two days. Now, I only switch between 3 gears and I try to keep my chain line straight. (I think maybe because I ride off ledges and run over potholes at high speeds sometimes that may cause my derailleur to slip.) So my question is, why does my derailleur keep 'de-tuning' itself, and what can I do to prevent it from rubbing the chain in the future?

Was it a fashion choice or did he have something in his eyes? Pictures of him in clear glasses is quite a rarity.

How do you play these in sextets? I have trouble playing fast over a three string range while muting a string in between. The string in between catches my pick and ruins the my tone and momentum. Any tips or secrets?

  • Windows 7 service pack update invalidates my copy of Windows?

I used a WGA removal tool when I first installed a copy of windows and everything worked fine until I recently installed an update to service pack 1. Now Windows has reactivated the time bomb. So do service pack updates cause my windows to invalidate and would running that WGA removal tool again work to remedy this problem?

  • Insert bootable media before BIOS setup?

I just finished building my computer and then tried booting it, everything is normal and then I press delete to get into BIOS, but when I do, they ask me for bootable media. Is it normal to insert bootable media before I setup BIOS? Or I should restate; what is wrong when I cannot enter BIOS first and is asked for bootable media instead? How do I remedy this? Insert a windows CD? (I dont have a windows copy right now so i cannot test this theory, but i'd like a preemptive on this.) or is it something wrong with my configuration?

  • Monitor display is blank, problem with video card?

When I first installed my video card it worked fine for three months and then after that I found that when I try to turn on my computer the monitor will not display anything. (Yes connections are secure and the power light is on) When I press the power button on the monitor, the screen displays so and so for half a second. I wanted to see if maybe my video card was dead so I connected my computer to my television and it displayed fine, so perhaps it is that my video card does not work with my monitor in particular, or is my monitor malfunctioning? I don't have another monitor to test on. I have a Nvidia GT240.

  • Am I grounding myself correctly?

I turn off power to computer, then disconnect the PSU. Lay the case on a wooden table. I stand on top of the unpainted part or the case's side panel on top of a wooden surface. Is this correct?

My PSU doesn't have a rocker switch to turn it off with so i'm not going to do that touch the side of it thing.

  • Computer fan won't turn on.?

One morning I turn my computer on, only the screen was blank. So I restart it a couple times and that does nothing. Then I unplug everything except the power supply, open up the case and try to see whats wrong and turn it on again, except this time the computer wont even boot. The fan will start spinning for a second and then stop. The only indication of power is that the light in the back is on and there is another light on the motherboard that is on. But the power button is not on and the fan is not spinning and the monitor is not receiving any signal. At first this was a monitor problem but now it's a 'I cant even turn my computer on' problem.
