As part of the plot, Ron casts a love spell on Hermione that turns out to actually be a curse. The story starts with her coming onto Severus, and when Severus gets her off of him, he calls for Albus, saying that Hermione was all over him. It turns out that the spell Ron cast was one of Grindelwald's spells, and the only person to have ever survived it was Albus himself.
