  • Problem with iTunes?

I've just tried to import a cd onto iTunes and I get the following message.

"An error occured while trying to import the file (name of cd)

The current encoder settings for bit rate and sample rate are not valid for this file."

Import using is set at AAC encoder and the setting is at high quality (128 kbps)

This is a music cd and I've never experienced this error before. My iTunes is on another computer to the one I'm using now and is not hooked up to the net.

How can I solve this problem?

  • Some questions on ab workouts?

How often can you work your abs?

I train three days a week with weights and I was told that you can work your abs every day. Yet it's not recommended to train the other body parts like your lats or biceps every day or you run the risk of overtraining. Generally speaking, one should allow 48 hours of rest for a specific muscle group. What makes your abs so different from any other muscle group in the body?

Can you train your abs every day and not run the risk of overtraining?

Also could you describe your abs workout in detail if you have one, and tell me why your routine is the most effective?

    Thanks.

  • Cleaning a HD TV screen?

I had a small scented candle in front of my HD TV and when I went to blow it out, some droplets of wax stuck to the screen. The wax has fully hardened onto it. What's the best way to clear the wax from the screen without damaging it?

  • Can you transfer your itune song collection from one pc to another?

We've just bought a new pc. Our old one has all my songs from from my cd collection on its hard drive. I used itunes for my ipod to do this. It took me two days to upload my 200 + cds. Can I somehow transfer my music to the new pc in a less painful fashion? Or will I have to redo all the uploading again?

  • What's the best lyric you've ever heard from a female singer?

My favourite has to be Carly Simon.

"You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you"

One simple line that causes all of her past boyfriends to think "Uh, is it me she's talking about?"

    Thanks for your opinions.

  • Scientists are tops when it comes to brainwashing those that are too blind to seek out the truth.?

I just saw the above quote as an answer to this question below.

    http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Am...

Interesting response. The source is the bible. Is there any Christian out there willing to give an exact source to this quote?

The answerer was given 3 thumbs up, so he's obviously not alone in his belief.

  • A question for all you astronomers out there?

I'm living in the southern part of the Republic of Ireland. At 05.50 am GMT I was driving directly east on my way to work. I could see the moon clearly in front of me. I could see no other stars in the sky but I could see a very bright (non moving) object directly above and just slightly to the right of the moon. It looked incredibly bright and this was seen in a suburban area.

Was this a planet or a star and can you give me it's name, please?

  • Why is it that?

... you are told to walk, not run, towards an exit sign in a building, in case of an emergency, the picture you see above all emergency exits has a diagram of someone running?

    Have I missed something?

  • Hi Christians can you help me with this please?

I've found some quotes and I'd like you to find out the context of them within the bible. As stand alone statements they don't sound right. Can you give me the full quote please. I'm not quote mining here, by the way. I'm merely repeating what I've just read.

    Thanks.

You should kill your child if he strikes you (Exod. 21:15).

Happiness is smashing children upon the rocks (Psalms 137:9).

Women should be subjugated by their husbands (1 Pet. 3:1-7).

If you curse, you should be stoned to death (Lev. 24:14-15).

  • A dog walks into a telegram office?

.. and writes a telegram. It reads: "Woof woof woof, woof woof woof, woof woof woof." He hands it to the clerk who then reads it. The clerk replies " Well, I see you have nine words here. You can have 10 words at no extra cost. Why not add another woof. The dog looks at her in puzzlement and replies "But then the telegram would make NO sense"

Well, it made me laugh. And its clean.

    What do you think?

  • Is it true..?

... that if you keep your heart rate between 70 and 85% of your max heart rate, when doing cardio, you will burn only fat and keep your muscle mass?

I read this recently in a magazine and I'm trying to burn fat while keeping my muscle. Will Smith's personal trainer reckons its possible.

If so, can you provide a link with more info?.
