So I’m starting nursing school in the fall and I’m so excited and eager but i have to admit I’m afraid of using needles (more so IVs or drawing blood I don’t think shots would bother me). I’ve personally been to the hospital a lot and needles don’t freak me out when other people are using them on me. It never bothers me when they mess up I honestly barely even feel it. However I’m so nervous about messing up on other people. Is this something that should deter me from becoming a nurse or is it something I’m likely to get over and not worry about? 

I had covid about 9 weeks ago and the initial 14 days felt like I had the flu. I didn’t have any respiratory symptoms, it was all muscular and joint pain. At weeks 3-5 I felt really good, but now for the last few weeks I’ve have joint pains, muscle aches, and burning sensations. I’ve been throwing up and have had diarrhea. I had 5 menstrual cycles in 11 weeks so I know there is something hormonal going on. I don’t leave the house except for groceries (it’s still a mystery how I got covid in the first place) so it’s not likely that I have another illness. I’ve been to the doctor and they’ve pretty much said it’s just long haul covid symptoms. All of my blood work came back normal so there was no worries there. They just don’t fully understand covid or know what’s going on. At week 9 I’m pretty much sicker now than I was when I had the virus. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I’m at a loss for what to do and I feel ill everyday. 

So I’ve decided to try to start selling my art (mostly watercolor) and I’m having a tough time pricing the cost of supplies. I am doing an hourly price + supplies used price. But when it comes to watercolors it’s really difficult to price how much of the paint I used. Does anyone know a good method for doing this? I don’t want to overcharge but when a set of paint costs $150+ I want to make sure I’ll have that set aside when it’s time for a new set. 

I dislocated my shoulder 24 hours ago and it went back into place but now I’m having extreme pain in my shoulder, arm, neck, and ribs. I wasn’t sure if this was just soreness or a reason to see a doctor. I really don’t want to go to a doctor right now if not needed, but if there could be problems I will go. Has anyone had experience with this or knows the correct steps to take? 

I had t-tubes put in when I was 7 and now I’m 21 and one of them just fell out. I’m having really bad pain and drainage and it sounds like I’m under water. I know they are technically supposed to fall out or be removed but these were in for a really long time.

I am a 19 year old female, 5'7 and weigh 112 lbs (126 a few months ago). I have lost 14 lbs in just a few months and I have been trying to gain weight (eating high carb and protein diet) but it seems I am only losing weight. I also have a headache on the left side that does not go away and at night time it gets worse with really bad nausea. I try my hardest not to throw up because I know that will only make me lose more weight. I also have constant ear pain in my left ear and also some ringing or popping. I am also always hungry, it wakes me up in the middle of the night and I can never stay full. Ive been to the doctor a few times and they have given me IVs told me I was dehydrated did some blood work and sent me on my way. I have also been tested for the flu and strep twice in the last 2 weeks both were negative.

Last Wednesday my male dog looked pregnant so we took him to the vet. He had retained water in his belly and after blood test we found out the liver was not acting right. So he was put on 4 medications and in 2 days the water was gone and he quit eating and started to throw up almost everything he ate. So today (Monday) we took him back to the vet and my 15 lb dog now weighs 10 lb. They looked at him and immediately sent him to an emergency room 1 hour away. The emergency vet didn't know what was wrong with him but because he isn't saying we left him there and he will receive a catheter and IV. What do you think his outlook of recovering or what could be wrong with him. He is also acting strange, he goes places he hasn't before and stares at the wall and stuff.

I am 17 and have largish protruding ears I absolutly hate them! Everyone has always made fun of me for as long as I can remember. It is so bad that even my family makes fun of me. I don't consider myself an ugly person I just have prominent ears. Should I ask my mom if I could have the surgery or wait til I can pay for it? I have never had a boyfriend, and I was wondering if I should fix this before I go to college next year. Mom ease don't tell me to just deal with it I want real advice.

Before I state my issue I want to say that I understand all head injuries could be dangerous and should be taken serious.... About 26 hours ago I got hit in the head by and elbow about half way down my temple and up. At first I wasn't dizzy it just hurt but then I sat down at a table and I couldn't stay awake. Well when I got home I was really confused and my headache got worse. I've had so many concussions that my mom just wanted to wait it out. So the next morning my ear hurt and I couldn't open my jaw very far due to my headache I also had sensitivity to light in my right eye only ( the side that got hit). But I went through the day taking Tylenol and ibuprofen and it didn't work at all. The pain is still here and now I can't sleep so what is the best option or what should I do ( besides ice I'm currently doing that)

First of please no stupid comments! I'm 17, going to be a senior, and have never had a bf or had a guy interested in me. I don't consider myself "ugly", and I do cheerleading so I'm active and stuff. But, is this normal, all my friends have recently been getting boyfriends and I always feel lonely, none of my friends can do anything anymore because of their bfs. Do you think I'll ever have a bf, or get married I'm terrified of being lonely all my life, and what other things could I do without friends, since I'm bored and it's summer?

I'm not sure what to do as this rubber band is stuck at the bottom of my throat. I tried swallowing while looking up and eating bread. I also tried making myself throw up. What should I do and when should I do it? Do I need surgery or will it disappear? It's kinda irritating I can't even sleep because of it...

I have been trying to get my roundoff backhandspring backtuck by myself and I just can't make myself throw it. I have it really good and I know that but I just have the fear of doing it, and not having someone help me. Whenever i do it with a spot I do it good but when I don't I get scared and let out and almost face plant

So early today I slipped and fell down the stairs on my tailbone. I have been in constant pain all day and can't find a comfy position. (Laying down, sitting, standing up) I have prescription extra strength ibouprofin, took it, it didn't help. I have tried going to sleep I wedged pillows under my back and legs, still hurts. I tried ice and heat all day. I can't find a way to sleep, if anyone has a way please tell me. Also, could my coccyx be broken, or one of my lumbar vertebrae be broken or fractured? I know there is not much a doctor can do for a broken coccyx but should I go anyway, don't want to waste the money?

So my "guy friend" (we're not really dating it we might as well be) was really depressed today, I could make him happy and everything just made him mad. If someone sent you a message like this after that would you be happy, or do you think it's too cheesy?

My little brother is five and my father has custody of him due to his mother. She does drugs, and she is not fit to be a parent. She does however get one weekend a month with him due to her moving out of state. My dads health has been declining and the other day my step mom made a joke that she wouldn't want my brother because he's crazy (it was just a joke she loves him like her own). Well it made me think what would happen to him if something happened to my father. Would his mom get him, my step mom, or could I get custody (I'll be 18 soon). I could never be able to live with my self if his mom got him, and not to mention i would never see him again. (We also live in Tennessee if that helps) I would also be fine with him living with my step mom she's a great person, but I didn't know if that was an option.

Im 16 and never had a boyfriend. I don't think I'm absolutely hideous and I'm a cheerleader. I'm about 5'7 it's not really tall but I'm taller than most girls. I have 32 A which is really small. I feel like no guy ever approaches me. It just makes me self conscience.

Yesterday at practice I started to get weak and dizzy. My eyes, lips, and ears got really cold and I had this wierd feeling in my mouth. My hands and arms were tingling. Today my arm has been tingling all day to the point to where it is hurting. I've also had a headache. Does anyone know what this could be?
