Question about graphics cards?
My graphics card has 3 inputs but only 2 that matter to me.
An HDMI, and a PCI. Now if i hook the PCI into my monitor, and hook an HDMI and run it to my tv, and say, while playing a game on my PC monitor, i'm streaming a youtube video on my TV, would that do anything to damage my card/tv/monitor?
I heard that it does, but i don't understand how it would damage them.
5 AnswersAdd-ons8 years ago3d Sculpting program (Maya) question?
I couldn't figure out a way to phrase this question, and get an answer from google, so i'm trying here.
In other 3d sculpting programs, if you click and drag off the object, it will rotate the camera, is there a setting for this in Maya?
I'm super new at using the program, so at this time i'm just learning everything.
Any help is appreciated.
4 AnswersProgramming & Design8 years agoWho is this Red Wing player?
I been lookin through Wikipedia pages, and trying to find out who this is.
The last name i think is Howe, but its not Gordie, it looks like Frank or Randy but its tough to make out the signature.
7 AnswersHockey8 years agoMy pullout thing on my desk is squeaky, how should i fix it?
The obvious answer is WD-40 but from the reading i been doing, i keep seeing that it can pick up dirt and dust in the air, and i'm worried that spraying it in there, would cause it to completely lock up eventually.
Off topic, what is this thing even called? Its the tray that a keyboard / mouse goes on that pulls in and out.
Preferably i'd like to find a common household product for this, since i'm broke and probably can't run out to buy anything at the moment.
Also, the way the track is, its quite intricate, so i don't think i could dismantle it, but if it was absolutely necessary i probably could figure it out.
5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoI have this liquor cabinet, looking for opinions on value?
I'll have links to pics for it on the bottom of this page.
So, the other day, i'm looking through old rooms trying to fix them up and clean them out. I came upon this liquor cabinet. Now, i don't know what year it was made, but when i was removing things from inside, it was wrapped in newspaper, this newspaper was dated 1967, and other papers were addressed to my great grandfather, (my mom's grandpa)
It was made by a company called Karoware, and the model number was #2570
When i first seen it, i thought 200-300$ would be a fair asking price, so i think that is where i will start. I'm just looking for opinions or perhaps someone who knows more than I on this item.

Who determines that?
Is it similar to a real fight, that after a certain time limit has been hit the next one to pin wins? Is it determined before hand?
I don't watch wrestling anymore, but this is a question i've wondered for awhile
3 AnswersWrestling9 years agoShopping around for an external hard drive, tips, suggestions?
I'm shopping around for this to save some video files on my computer to it, as my library has become quite full and accounting for a lot of the space on my 500gb hard drive. I don't see this collection building into the 200gb range, so,
with that being said, i'm looking for an external hard drive that is easy to use, and under $100. Also i only have USB 2.0 on my computer, i heard it works anyway (using 3.0 in a 2.0 slot) but i don't want to pay for the latest and greatest.
I've been looking around, and the one i been lookin at the most is -
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Seagate-GoFlex-3%E2%80%A6
Is this a good choice? I've read reviews which say its not very user friendly, which for me is not a huge deal, as i know quite a bit about computers. But that it is very dependable, and sleek.
One of the reviews i seen, is that this model constantly prompts you to back up again, which i don't want, i basically want a flash drive with more space. Windows files i don't care about backing up, (or perhaps i will if i had enough space) most of the time if a Windows file becomes infected, i can just clear my operating system and reinstall Windows 7. Then start over from scratch, this may be a bad thing though, but its always worked for me.
I've also never used an external hard drive before, and had some questions as to how they work.
Do they stay plugged in constantly?
Or can i unplug them when i'm done moving things to it?
Will it lag my system at all? (not while i'm transferring, but in general and idling)
Thanks in advance.
2 AnswersDesktops9 years agoI am having an issue with my computer speakers?
Ok, this is sort of an odd issue, and i'm just trying to find out where the issue lies. This has happened to me on multiple computers over my lifetime (Win 98 and such) but at that time, i did not have a forum like this to find out.
So, when playing music or sound in general, sometimes my right speaker (the one with the power cord) will cut out, if i jiggle the cords in behind my computer sometimes it will kick back on. Any vibration or anything and it'll go out again, also, sometimes if i jiggle the cords the speakers will outright stop.
Now, my question is, is this a problem with the speakers themselves, or my sound card inside my computer?

2 AnswersSnooker & Pool9 years agoQuestions about cooking beef tenderloin?
Now, i've broken down tenderloin before and i know how to do that.
I'm going to take my scraps and turn into stir fry, i'm gonna cut some filet mignon off it too, and i'm going to use the chateau brion as a roast.
Now i've cooked these in the past, and sometimes they seem to dry out, so this time i was planning on -
- Filet - sear the sides, wrap a piece of bacon in a circle around the sides of the filet to add fat to hopefully keep it moist
- chateau brion i was planning on searing it, and wrapping in bacon also to keep moist. Will this work? Is this how they do it in restaurants?
5 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years agoI'm having problems with this bass i jus got?
Ok, so i just got this bass. Through a friend, who's friend left it when he moved out of the appt they were sharing.
After i got it, this thing was beat up terribly. But atm i had to sell my 2 bass' a few months earlier and so i been missing playing. Anyways, after getting it, the strings were terrible, completely worn, so i changed them. He couldn't find the cord, so i had to buy one.
Now, i get all the stuff cleaned, (it looked like he spilled some drink on it or something)
I plug it into the amp that came with it, and nothing.
I plug it into my electric tuner, and the tuner recognized the input of the bass and allowed me to tune it.
Mess with the connections, messed with everything...and nothin. So finally getting frusterated i took the pickguard off. Underneath i didn't find any signs of water damage to the electrics. I took the pickups off.
The amp seems to have no issues as i can tell (of course i can't plug anything into it, to be 100% sure). But when plugging / unplugging while its on, it makes the usual sound it should in all the amps i've had, they've all done this, so it leads me to believe its not an issue there.
While the pickups and plug were still wired to the pickguard, i (by hand) ran the pickups over the strings, and the amp began making this extreme static sound.
Now, from the facts provided, can anyone tell me, is the amp bad...or are the pickups just gone and need to be replaced.
I'm broke atm so, i need to know which side of the road to go down and i can't be wrong, cuz if i am, i won't have money to change my mind later. Also i don't have any other instruments in the house to test the amp unfortunatly.
Also, i'd just place to make a PSA here...if you don't want to take care of your instruments you should not own them...this bass i got is shameful how he treated it...and while its jus a Fender Squire, ITS STILL A BASS DAMMIT!

2 AnswersPolls & Surveys9 years agoWiring problem with my thermostat?
Ok, so i had to rewire my thermostat from heat back to air. Since one fried out last year, it only left me with one thermostat. So now i jus switch it back and forth.
Ok, so i rewired it, the air handler came on fine which i later determined to only be the fan running, but my air conditioner didn't start up at all.
I'm figuring i have a wiring issue considering i haven't done this since last year.
The wires from the wall are.
Green, Red, Blue, White, and a Black one used as a jumper.
The parts on my thermostat to connect to are
G, Y, W, RH, B, O, RC
Now i had the green to G
Y empty
W to the white
Red on RH
Blue on B
O empty
and the black jumper was from RC to RH
Is this wired correctly? I'm also considering the air conditioner is old and therefore may be an issue with it.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Its midnight here, so i'm off to bed, hopefully by morning someone will have a solution for me to attempt.
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoQuestions about copyrights and stuff?
If i was to take a jack daniels bottle and dress it up, like with clay or something. And turn it into something artistic, would that fall under copyright infringement? If you didn't figure it out, i planned on selling them.
Now, does it make a difference if the label was intact / removed?
Copyright overall confuses me. Thanks in advance.
1 AnswerSculpture9 years agoHow to crust things with coffee?
I always hear about coffee crusted things, like pork tenderloins or something.
How do you do this? I've heard coffee beans are poisonous if eaten. So I don't know, furthermore, i don't know if the person who told me this was a credible source either...so i'm rly confused.
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years agoCan i remove a person from the blades SKYRIM?
I got my 3 right away without thinking, because i downloaded a mod that let me put up to 10.
But its buggy as crap, and i can't get it to work. Plus i thought all 10 would hunt dragons together...but it still only does the first 3.
So now i ended up with a team that i don't want.
Can i remove people from the blades. I don't care how its done (console, killing, etc.)
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games9 years agoLooking for a Skyrim Mod?
I love to get really epic screenshots of my character in fierce battles. And alot of these special kill cams look awesome, caught in the right way.
Now my question is, has anyone made a mod that auto takes screenshots when the kill cam starts. Most of the time i just spam F12 and pick which ones to keep when i quit...but sometimes i miss those rly cool moments.
1 AnswerPC9 years agoDoes Sony offer any service warranty on their ps3's automatically?
I bought a PS3 on Jan 28th, 2012. Yeah, 2 months ago...
After tearing through my house, i found my receipt, which says Warranty Not Purchased on it in bold letters. Which makes me nervous when it comes to sending this into Sony.
I already called SCEA and they sent the prepaid box to send it back to them, which i got today.
Now, i'm past the 30 days Gamestop warranty...but does Sony offer a limited warranty? Cuz i didn't purchase the extended warranty.
I'm gonna lose my mind if they ask me to pay for this...2 months...and the system breaks down, froze constantly...and i'm not here to troll...i am a huge Sony fanboy, but this is ridiculous.
