Good jukebox musical songs for...?
Hello! In my musical theatre class we need a song from multiple musical styles, including jukebox musicals. I've never really been a big fan of jukebox musicals so I don't know much about it. Additionally, I'm not really a powerhouse voice. I specialize more in mixing so not a legit belt or legit head voice. Mixing is my strong suit. I can easily chest to about an E or F4 (pretty low haha I'm not really a belter) but I can take my mix up to about a D#5. I'm having trouble finding a song. I was wondering if anyone know of some songs that may fit that description? Only one problem: they can't be from All Shook Up. :( I'm not sure why; probably because it's a popular one... Anyways, thanks!! Help is greatly appreciated!!
1 AnswerTheater & Acting4 years agoAudition songs for a 14 (almost 15 year old) trying to get a kid roll?
Hello! I'm a professional actress/singer and I've been working professionally since I was 9, and since then I've always loved the musical Annie. However, besides it being a common show, there was only one production of Annie I was able to audition for in that 6 year period. I was Annie once and Lily St. Regis once in a musical revue, but that doesn't count. 😂 Despite what you may be thinking, I am NOT trying to hold on to my elementary dreams of being Annie, but I still would like to be an orphan. I'm 5' 2" but almost 15, so I look young but have a matured voice. I've played kids before but I REALLY want to do this show, as it might be my last chance to be an orphan in Annie, one of my biggest aspirations. Any audition songs that will help me sound younger? Also, I'm not a belter, but I have a strong mix that brings a warm, youthful sound to my voice if I use it correctly. Thanks so much!
2 AnswersTheater & Acting5 years agoMy vocal range reaches an E6 but today and yesterday I can't even hit a G5, which is usually a piece of cake. Help! I'm crying!?
I had nodules eight months ago but I worked hard and did exercises to get rid of them. I now do the exercises five times a week and haven't had any trouble until yesterday. I did have an audition four days ago and callbacks two days ago, but it wasn't anything to intense. I've been really sick the past two weeks, but I've never been so sick I couldn't even sing a G5. Could it be nodules again? Can they happen that fast? Is it a side effect from being sick and not being able to direct my sound to the mask of my face? Can someone please explain?
3 AnswersSinging5 years agoI'm too young for a job, but I want to make some money!?
I'm going to a really nice, private high school starting next year, but the tuition is a lot. Not in a stuck up way or anything, but we are expecting a partial scholarship. I'm sure it's worth it; the school is beautiful! My parents are willing to pay the tuition, but I feel bad and want to help them out. Also, my best friend really wants to go there. I couldn't stand school without him! We've never NOT been in a class together. However, his family probably wouldn't be able to pay for the complete tuition. What are some ways to make money for 13 and 14 year olds? By the way, we could carpool there. We live about two minutes away from each other, so not too bad.
1 AnswerFinancial Aid6 years agoMy friend is randomly neglecting me?
Yesterday, I had some good news for my friend so I kept asking him to FaceTime me because I was really excited and wanted to see his face when I told him. He refused to answer though, so I just texted him what happened and he replied with "cool". That's it. Ever since, he's been sassing, replying to my texts very vaguely, and treating me like a stranger. For example, today I asked him what a TV show he likes is about, and usually he'd say something like, "well well well little missy. It's about _____ but you wouldn't know that cause you're a loooooseeeerrrr!!!" because that's how we talk to each other, but he said "watch it". I have a lot of other texts like this. They've made me really upset. What do I do?
1 AnswerFriends6 years agoIf the Theory of Evolution is real, doesn't that mean God isn't?
First of all, let me just say, I COMPLETELY LOVE GOD. But I was thinking, the theory of evolution says we evolved from monkeys, etc. Now, I don't get to go to church often so please correct me if I'm wrong, but that would mean God didn't create Adam and Eve. I was watching a fact video today, and one was, "All scientific theories have actually been proven true, including theory of evolution." And that freaked me out! I've always thought about how in this case it's either Science or Religion, but knowing it was true kind of scared me. Please tell me what you think!
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoI'm almost 14 and I wanna know if these TV shows are to mature for my age for me to watch...?
I don't like to talk about myself, but my parents are a little overprotective and don't let me watch more "adult" shows without them knowing first so I want to know, are these considered adult shows? Are they innapropriate for my age? A lot of my peers love them and I would like to watch them, but if they are to mature for my age, I don't know what the post of asking would be.
•Once Upon A Time
•Impractical Jokers
•Dance Moms
•The Walking Dead
•Pretty Little Liars
Thanks for helping!!!
4 AnswersFamily6 years agoWhy are middle schoolers so over dramatic?
I'm in middle school and I wanted to know something. So I'm not against homosexuality or same-sex marriage- in fact, I'm all for it! In middle school, a TON of girls claim they're lesbians. I'm not saying they aren't, but why are they so overdramatic about it? We were watching a news clip of people voting on it in Ireland and these two girls were high-giving the ENTIRE TIME. In fact, they are still doing it. This girl behind me kept screaming "YASSSSS" the entire time. I know they care about their cause (and I do too!) but sometimes I feel like they're doing it for attention. Like, I am also against child marriage/labor but when we watch a video on it, I'm not sitting there screaming and high-fiving other people against it!!
5 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender6 years agoWhat are some ways to ease up period cramps?
I get bad cramps and sometimes the ibuprofen helps and sometimes it doesn't. I'm busy and do a lot of theatre with mandatory rehearsals. What should I do to help them?
4 AnswersWomen's Health6 years agoAm I the third wheel?
I had two best friends and then we started hanging out as a group and they just kind of clicked and they leave me out and post about them together on Instagram. They treat me weird lately. I do theatre and I feel like they expect tickets to all my shows. I don't know what to do. I feel like old news to them.
1 AnswerFriends6 years agoWhy are middle school boys so annoying and perverted?
All they talk about is inappropriate stuff and swear words!! They tell girls to try and touch their belly button with their elbows, they talk all day long about people "blowing" them (I don't know what that means and I don't want to), they draw graphic pictures in textbooks, freak out when a bra ad comes on tv during class, tell their friends they started their period, dance inappropriately, do the nasty at such an early age, etc. Can someone please tell me WHY?!!?!
5 AnswersFriends6 years agoMy period is late?
Okay so I had my first period from February 7-15 of this recent year. It was very heavy. My next was a bit late, but it was new so it didn't have a pattern yet. It was March 16-21. It was light to the point I thought something was messed up! 😂 My third was April 13-21. Eight days again and very heavy. This should have been my fourth. I was thinking that my cycle might alternate from heavy to light and I figured this one might be a bit late but now I'm kind of nervous. What should I do? Worry or wait it out?
2 AnswersWomen's Health6 years agoWhat is the Illuminati?
Everyone at my school always talks about the illuminati but I have no idea what it is! If something freaky happens like the lights flickering or something, people will say things like "It's the Illuminati!" or "THE ILLUMINATI IS HERE!!" Is it like a book/movie/fandom reference? I just don't get it!!

2 AnswersPersonal Finance6 years agoI'm having songwriter's block...?
In Language Arts, we are doing a project for the book we just read, "The Lions of Little Rock." She wants me to write a song because she knows how much I like to sing and write songs. However, it's a very touching and meaningful book and since I peraonally wasn't inspired to write the song, I'm have major trouble coming up with lyrics. Typically when I write school songs, they're funny and cheesy but the book is about segregation so I can't. Can you help me get over my (song)writer's block?

3 AnswersMakeup6 years agoShould I shave my head for a movie role?
So I've always wanted to be a professional singer, actress, and dancer. I do a lot of professional theatre and I have an agent. I was chosen to audition for a movie as the lead but if I got the role, I'd have to shave my head to stubble. It sounds like a pretty neat movie but I'm really unsure. I read that if you were to shave your head, it grows back healthier and undamaged, but I don't know how long it would take for it all to grow back out and what if I don't like it once it's shaved? Then what?! 😭 Please help!
6 AnswersMovies6 years agoTHIS IS FOR PROFESSIONAL SINGERS AND VOCAL COACHES ONLY.?
So as I've grown up, I sing a lot! Head voice, belting, you name it! In fact, I've always been a BIG belter. But within the past few months, my voice seems like it's unable to endure anything. I can sing mostly normal in my head voice, but if I belt, it'll get very sore and take like a week to even get close to back to normal. Then I'll try again, and th cycle repeats. Have I forgotten how to belt correctly without straining? Am I not giving my voice enough healing time? What should I do? Please help!! I have vocal auditions, shows, concerts, etc. like every week so it's hard to leave it be. PLEASE HELP MEEEEEE
