  • Can anyone tell me the difference between police union and police association?

I have to write an essay pretending that I am the police chief and the officers in the department want to go union. I don't have the slightest idea about unions..Does anyone know a site that would maybe help me out? Here is what I have to discuss:

1.) Discuss the various options available to address this growing sentiment.

2.) Develop a comprehensive response to the efforts instituted by the officers.

3.) Develop a plan for addressing the needs that seem to be the undercurrent.

4.) Compare and contrast the police unions and police associations.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • Galant Cat. Converter?

I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant ES with about 106k miles on it. Recently have had the service engine light on and it seems to run fine with the A/C off..As soon as I turn the AC on and press on the gas it seems like there is no power. I recently changed the upstream and downstream o2 sensors and cleaned my IAC (thought that was the problem because my idle was dropping and sometimes not coming back up to above 500 with the ac on)...I had my codes read a few weeks ago when the light came on and it was my o2 sensor and cat. converter..What do you think? And if it is clogged, do I have to replace the whole expensive thing?!?!

  • Aftercare for rooting and scaling?

I had my procedure done about 2 hours ago(right quadrant) and was told to floss like a mad woman and rinse with salt water. I'm unsure how much salt to put in the water and etc..Also, I'm still totally numb (he shot me like 4 times) ..When would I be able to brush again and should I use my manual toothbrush or my power brush (it's pretty powerful)..I took 2 Tylenols and my top still feels a little tender..I'm guessing I will be numb for at least another 2 hours! Should I rinse with salt water now or wait till my novicane wears off? Thanks!

  • Can Esurance charge me 104 for cancelling 5 days early?!?

I recently changed to Progressive starting June 1, 2008 and cancelled my Esurance that same day. My Esurance was going to renew June 6, 2008, so I figured it wouldn't be a big deal to just start Progressive at the end of the month. Now Esurance is charging me 104.00 for cancellation I guess, even though I don't see it on my policy docs at all about a fee?? Is there anything I can do?

    I HATE Esurance!!!!!!!!!!

  • Car stalling with A/C on?

I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant that stalls or almost stalls when I come to a stop and have the A/C on. I just replaced both my o2 sensors because the service engine light was on and the code was for my downflow o2 sensor. I just replaced my alternator and battery recently too.

My car starts fine and seems to be running fine until I turn the AC on and the idle drops and acts like it's trying to catch up and sometimes it does, but usually it just stalls, especially when I come to a stop with the AC on. I went and bought a new Air Idle Control valve(expensive!)...Does it seem like that would be the problem? Thanks.

  • Best Electric Toothbrush?

I recently have been getting alot of dental work done and next week am getting a Scaling and Root Planing done due to my perio/gingivitis....I was told that I should invest in a good electric toothbrush and wanted to know your opinions on which brand is the best..I have been leaning towards the Oral B Triumph or the Sonicare brand but also was told that the Rota-dent is good too but their heads cost an arm and a leg. Any suggestions for a lady on a budget and possibly a website that sells them for cheap? Thanks!

  • What Can I Feed My Kissing Gourami Besides Flakes?

We currently have 3 Kissing Gourami's and they are probably the biggest they will get. Lol! I currently only feed them the Tropical Flakes and was wondering if there was anything else I can feed them like real vegetables and etc? I have tried giving them the freeze dried worms things, but it doesn't seem like they care for them. If I do give them fresh vegetables, do I just cut it real small and put it in the water? Any info would be great. Thanks!

  • What To Wear Under My Graduation Gown?

Hey everyone! I am graduating from college in a few weeks and have been wondering what to wear under my gown and what color shoes I should wear. My gown is like a royal blue (Smurf) lol..Should I wear black shoes? I have a hard time finding cute dress shoes because my feet are wide width.

Also, does anyone know of any good ideas to get the wrinkles out of the gown? I've tried hanging it up in the shower and that doesn't seem to be working. Should I give the Downy Wrinkle Releaser a shot? Thanks alot!

  • Battery and Brake light come on?

I have a Mitsubishi Galant and replaced my battery and alternator in the past few days. When I start the car everything seems fine until the car actually warms up and the RPM drops right below the 1..When I rev it to about 2000 the lights go out...Should I take the chance of driving it up to autoparts and getting it tested or take it out and just bring it in..I'm hoping they didn't give me a faulty alternator..Please help :(

  • I like a guy at work, what should I do?

I currently work in a job where I am not allowed to date people I work with. I work with this great guy only 2 days out of the week and have shared some things with him and think we could be great for eachother. (We do boring security) I love the site I'm working at and don't really wanna change sites anytime soon. Should I tell him that I like him and stay at my current job, and just not tell my company ( and take the risk of him turning me down and still having to work with him), or should I keep it to myself until I find another job (which won't be for like 7 months) and take the risk of losing him if he doesn't know how I feel. I'd love to hear everyone's input! Thanks.
