April 2012 Bride

Just sent out our wedding invites for our April 2012 wedding and all this drama is coming up such as bridesmaids dresses bought already don't fit so we have to go and get new ones for all girls, everyone trying to put in their opinions and stressed out completely between planning and work life. Is it too late to just elope the two of us, no party or anything? How could we tell everyone since we just sent out invites?

I am having troube deciding on shoes for my bridesmaids. My bridesmaids dresses are a fuschia pink, they are right above the knee and strapless and my wedding is in April.

I was at first thinking of having them wear champagne colored shoe because my dress has a little champagne detail. But, then we ordered the tuxes and the tuxes are a black brunch coat with charcoal gray pinstriped pants (tux from men's wearhouse) and I am a little nervous about mixing the champagne shoes for girls with the groomsmen's charcoal because I don't want it to look like too many colors. So, then I was going to have them wear shoes that are dyable in fuschia to match their dress, but one of my girls keeps saying champagne, but I still can't make up my mind and the other girls say whatever I like.

The dresses are short so shoes will be seen which is why I am stuck on it.

Any ideas will help.

I am having a brunch wedding in April fromm11am -3:30p. I bought a wedding gown on Ebay from a wedding boutique for $100 and I found a really pretty dress from David's Bridal that is shorter (just under knee) and it would look great for a brunch. I was thinking of long dress for ceremony and short one for brunch reception.

Is having 2 dresses for a brunch reception a little much or would it be ok?

I work for a corporate bank and I always put in a lot of OT and I do get paid time and half for it, but I work 6 days a week and pretty late every night. (there is not such thing as bankers hours). By the time I get home, I eat dinner and go to bed. Once in awhile I dont care, but it would be nice to be home once in awhile.

FH and I were talking and are thinking about cancelling our deposits on venue and DJ and going a smaller route and have a ceremony with close family (still about 30 people) and then going to a nice restaurant for dinner. I would still wear my dress (being that I already have it). We would lose about $1,300 from our deposits, but save about $5,000 in the long run. Our wedding was going to be pretty small to begin with about 60-70 guests and cost about $7k - $8k, but for us that's a lot being we have no help and we want to buy a house. I am torn because I never have really been the "dreaming since I was a little girl" of my wedding, but I feel like I will miss out on not having the first dance or father daughter dance and little things like that. FH wants to go the small route and I am torn.

I feel I want to go with the small ceremony and dinner, but I am afraid of regreting it in the future.

** Wedding is April 14, 2012 - but if we cancel we want to do it asap so we can try and get some $$$ back if possible.

She is going to be 25 this Saturday and my fiance (her brother) don't know what to get her. She is doing/ does a lot for him and she is going to be one of my bridesmaids in our upcoming wedding. We want to get her something nice not a gift card. Any ideas?

My fiance and I are 24/25 years old and we will be getting married April of next year. We were thinking about moving back with my mom once our current lease is up in October. Our reasoning for doing this is so we can save what we spend on rent to put towards a house. We hope to live with my mom for about 6 months then buy a house. We aren't having a problem paying our rent or bills, we just feel it would be easier to save for a house. If living with my mom doesn't work out we can always go back to renting.

My mom is ok with us living with her as well.

Wedding is not until April 2012 (next April), but I already have my wedding dress (I got an amazing deal). So, is it too soon to take my sisters to try on bridesmaids dresses for ideas? We don't plan to order now.

We want to have a girls night out tonight and want it to be something different. We don't really want to go to a club, but we want to have a few drinks and have a good time. I was trying to find like a country line dancing bar or karaoke bar, but can't seem to find one for a friday night in central/ jersey shore/ southern area. (Not atlantic city southern and not newark or hoboken area northern)

I am 24 years old, I work in a bank as a banker (not a teller), I wear suits often, not everyday. Would it look unprofessional or inappropriate if I got bangs? Not side bangs, but actual thick full bangs- kind of like Zooey Deschenel or something.

Is early December considered a winter wedding or a fall wedding (I know it technically is fall). I am 'thinking' of doing pine cones and/ or cranberries or something like that for centerpieces (I am not positive) I just want to make sure it makes sense. So, what would the time frame be for a winter wedding?

-date is not set in stone which is why I want to make sure I pick correctly.

Must be a Queen sized set, if it is just a comforter a King size would work also.

I am trying to think of some themes to use for engagement photo session for example; I have seen car breaking down on side of the road with suitcases and all; for better and for worse where the couple has a for better picture (happy) and a for worse (sad/ mad); I also seen vintage retro like on the beach in old vintage bathing suits, etc...

Can anyone else think of any other themes that they have seen or participated in? What props did you use?

Throwing a brunch tomorrow and I need to buy cold cuts for about 40 people.. There is going to be other food there as well. How much should I buy of turkey, ham, roast beef, american, swiss, & provolone? Like, how many lbs of each?

We want something fun and original, NOT the silly ball and chain type of costume. What are some ideas?
