  • Chest, arms, and shoulders workout (Most gains in about 3 months) for a beginner?

I recently started a subscription at Planet Fitness and I have a couple 10 lb and 15 lb dumb bells at home to use.

I'm 19, 175 lbs, and just recently started wanting to really get healthy and fit. I'm not necessarily fat, just decently chubby (I used to weigh 235 so I've come a long way).

I want to do a full body workout but I mainly want to focus on my chest, arms, and shoulders and I want as much gains as possible for 3 months. I'll definitely continue workouts even after that 3 month period but I have a trip planned and I'd like to get rid of my man boobs by then.

Just looking for any advice on a good routine I could start trying but I'd prefer if the gym didn't exceed 4 days a week and I have too much anxiety to go to the weight lifting area of Planet Fitness so it'd be cool if there were any machines or body-weight workouts I could try. Thanks!!

  • I really need a good workout regiment to lose weight and try building mass?

I have 3 months (December 10th) until a very special day occurs and I really want to lose weight and gain some muscle before then.

I'm 19, 5'10, and currently 175 lbs. I used to be 235 lbs about a year and a few months ago so I've definitely made progress but I'm starting to slip again, considering I was 165 lbs a few weeks ago.

I really just need help figuring out a good workout regiment I can do in my own room and without equipment because I have horrible anxiety and going to the gym is out of the picture. I can also purchase some weights or equipment but would prefer not to just simply because of the anxiety of my family seeing (I know, I'm ridiculous)

Any tips on food is also appreciated, especially if anyone has some awesome way of decreasing a raging appetite lol

    Thanks!!

  • I need help completing the square of equations in Algebra II.?

I'm great in math except Algebra always gets me.

Anyways, I finally figured out how to complete the squares by making up my own equation because the way I was taught was way too complicated. But now my equation doesn't work because the ax^2 in the equation has an "a" equal to higher than 1.

I need the work for thenfollowing problems please and thank you.

    3x^2 + x - 2 = 0. 2x^2 + 8x - 3 = 0

Thanks for your time and assistance :)

  • Algebra II factoring help.?

I'm typically good at math but algebra always gets me.

Find the value of c that makes the trinomial a perfect square. Then write the trinomial as a perfect square.

    1. X^2 - 10x + c. 2. X^2 +60x + c

There's more for my homework but hopefully seeing the work for these two will be enough.

Thanks for your time and help :)

  • How do you solve quadratic equations by graphing?

This would be very easy if the graph was numbered and such; anyways, one equation, for example, is:

    x^2 + 4x = 0

  • How to study and actually remember everything you learn in school?

For my entire life in school I have managed to pass with all A's and B's with an occasional C like what I had all year in algebra. But even with these great grades, I still never remember much of anything I'm taught and thus, realistically, I'm not all that smart afterall. I would like to change that by learning of new ways to remember what I've learned and only forgetting very little. Im in tenth grade, have several advanced classes, rarely stusy , and procrastinate all the time. Anything you can do to help would be great, thanks :)

  • Tired after plenty of sleep?

Over the summer I slept from 3:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and usually I was still a little tired but it wore off after an hour or so. Now with school I sleep from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. and I usually stop feeling tired after my morning shower. However, now if I go to sleep early at 9:00 p.m. or sleep for around 11 hours over the weekend I feel pretty tired throughout most of the day. Why is this?

By the way, in the morningnit usuallyntakes about 20-30 seconds for my alarm to wake me up so I am kind of a heavy sleeper.

Thanks for your time and help :)

  • Building muscle for a 15 year old male?

    Hi, I'm 15, 5'8, and 168.

I have stopped drinking soda and replaced it with water and an occasional Monster energy drink (0 calories and surgar) and I have also started eating much healthier and ended my addiction to chips. In the past week and a half I have lost roughly 5 lbs and still working on it. The problem is I play Xbox all day and I don't exercise at all. I'm trying to find an exercise routine or workout routine that will help me lose weight and build some muscle. I'm out of shape and I would much prefer an exercise I could do in the comfort of my room and without and weights.

Thanks for your time and effort towards helping me :)

  • I need a workout routine for a teen male.?

    Hi.

    I'm 15, 5'8, and 173 lbs.

I'm a bit overweight since all I do is drink soda and sit on my Xbox; however, recently I have gone "cold turkey" on soda and started drinking water and its working so far. Anyways, I love my Xbox and will not give it up but I do want to spend a little less time playing games and spend more time trying to lose weight and build some muscle while I'm at it. I'm really out of shape:

I can't do a situp, pull up, or run a mile nonstop (I use to be able to) and I can do maybe 12-20 pushups straight.

I'm looking for a workout routine that I can do in my room and without any equipment (maybe some weights can be used).

Thanks for your time and help :)

  • Weight loss program for a 15 year old male?

    Hi, I'm 15, 5'8 (maybe 9 inches), and I weigh roughly 173 before I eat anything.

On a day to day basis I drink 4-6 cans of soda, eat 2-3 meals a day, sleep for 8-10 hours, and get little to no exercise because I sit on my Xbox all day.

School is coming soon and I want to try losing weight. My long term goal is to lose 30 pounds by Christmas.

I have already started replacing all of that soda with water and I'm going to start getting a better sleep schedule for school.

I was wondering if you guys have any helpful tips for losing weight and I would also appreciate any exercise/workout routines I could do in my room (I'm a shy person and don't want to go to the gym plus my mom doesn't want me running miles outside since we live next to a highway). I was also wondering if gum is a good replacement for snacks like chips.

Thank you for your time and help :)

  • Exercises/workouts for a teen male?

    Hi.

I'm 15 years old and school is starting up again in about three weeks. I'm 5 ft 8 in (maybe nine inches) and I weigh 173 lbs. As you can tell I'm kind of overweight and I'm already starting to change that by drinking water instead of soda. But I've heard from many places that just dieting doesn't work and I also have to exercise and workout.

    I'm completely out of shape:

    10-15 proper pushups

    20 crunches

I can probably run 1/4 of a mile before I get really tired and I cannot do a full situp or pull up. Are there any routines or particular exercises I should start doing to burn some calories, get in better shape, and maybe even build some muscle?

Thanks for your time and helpfulness :)

  • Does quitting soda make you tired?

Just the other day I stopped drinking soda and I'm trying to only drink water. Before this I would drink around five cans of soda a day and I'm trying to stop so I can lose weight. However, just after the first day without soda I am feeling really tired and out of it. I was wondering how long this feeling will last and if there is a way I can fix it without drinking other caffeinated beverages.

    Thanks for your time :)

  • Are my wisdom teeth causing pain after getting fillings?

A couple months back I went to the dentist to get my second filling. I got the first filling a few months back. During this second filling my tooth had sharp pains when they were drilling into it unlike the previous filling. About a month ago I woke up and went to eat something and suddenly my tooth was sensitive to biting down or drinking anything; especially anything cold. The dentist grinded the filling down some just in case of a high bite and that helped a lot but it still hurt a little. I went again a few days ago to get my last filling and when I told them about the other one still hurting they decided to redo it. My third and last filling was similar to my second in which it hurt some during the drilling. Now both teeth are sensitive to drinking and eating to some degree and I don't know what the problem is.

Both of these particular teeth are in the back and touching my wisdom teeth (bottom right and top left) but showed no signs of cracking or anything.
