2 AnswersMathematics10 years agoWant to attach handles to truck inner tube for snow tubing?
Looking for ideas from someone who has done something similar to this, rather than just a "this might work" answer. Snow tube manufactures appear to stich the handles to the rubber and then seal, but am thinking without their industrial knowledge I would just ruin the tube.

Can we believe that articles provided by Fidelity are not biased towards advising us to put money in their pockets?
1 AnswerInvesting1 decade agoanybody else out there thinking of minimizing 401K contributions so they can beat the street?
I just seems 401Ks (apart from getting employers full match)are a sure way to have mediocre performance because the fund managers trust wall street too much.
My aversion to under-diversification is being overwhelmed by poor 401K fund performance compared to my own stocks.

3 AnswersCorporations1 decade agoLaws against day trading?
Allthough most day traders lose, it seems to me all day traders are a drain on resources and not improving productivity compared with a potential world in which trades were limited to longer time periods. why not make stronger laws limiting day trading or tax them more... out of existence?

9 AnswersInvesting1 decade agohow to get rid of snow moth caterpillars?
these are the green bugs that are about 1/8 inch by 3/4 inch that defoliate northeastern US trees in the spring and come from the white moths you see late in the year. After several years of abuse I am afraid my landscape trees will die within a year or two if I let theses bugs continue there yearly feed.

To me GWs decision to stay in Iraq is kind of like lighting matches in a house where there is a huge gas leak. Rather than being strong it just seems kind of stupid. Anybody with relatives over there feel similar?

1 AnswerPersonal Finance1 decade agoWhat is the best "goodness of fit" test for a four parameter curvilinear regression?
I have 15 points and it seems that a four parameter curve should almost always fit the line very well (Rsquared >0.98). Does it make sense to have a high threshold (r squared >0.99) or is there a better way to describe the goodness of fit?

It seems that to me that socializing on this forum is being confused with work... it is fun but is it really much different than talking about sports around the water cooler.
7 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoprocess for sorting through offical questions?
When Hillary and John get 10s of thousands of responses for an official question would it be reasonable to expect yahoo set up a realistic process for members to sort and vote? A process such as a random sorting into groups of 20 answers that could be voted on in teers. Eventually the best ideas would rise to the top even if some very good responses would get lost in the shuffle. Yahoo might have to write some code but that is what they do anyway.
