Is there a good portable LCD projector rated at 3000 Lumens or above for use outdoors?
I'm not looking for DLP or any other technology. This is for presentation use, not entertainment. I just need something bright enough to see the colors outdoors.

2 AnswersFacebook1 decade agoWhat kind of bird did I see?
I was visiting the town of Sogod in Southern Leyte, Philippines and I came across an interesting bird. I think its probably pretty common, but I have no familiarity with birds here.
To begin with, it had a very similar body size and shape as your typical zebra finches found in pet stores around the world. The similarity was so striking that I'd say I'm 90% sure its a finch of some sort.
The body color was a beautiful deep brown that was very even in tone with no markings or striations. The head was jet black, also without pattern. Its beak was a very pale powder blue.
I have no way to verify that this is an indigenous species, as I saw only one specimen.
Sorry, no picture :(

First of all, let me tell you I don't live in North America, so please don't direct me to the namethatbird website.

2 AnswersZoology1 decade agoCan anybody recommend a good bare bones handheld GPS receiver?
I'm looking for a GPS receiver that I can use for back-country navigating in third world countries where no good commercial GPS maps are available. I need very basic compass and waypoint features, but no mapping.

Do you believe that a) Jesus was literally born on December 25, or b) Christmas just a commemoration and the date is not that important.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs there a non-short-code phone number for Twitter in the United States?
I'm trying to register my Sprint phone on twitter, but Sprint says that in order to use some short-codes, I have to activate browser services. Since I'm too cheap to pay for internet on a phone that is not fully internet-functional, is there a non-short-code number for Twitter?
Thanks!

4 AnswersCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoHow do you set up a cell phone on Twitter?
I logged into Twitter, and followed their instructions for adding a device. How long does it take to accept my phone, and will I get a confirmation? I already tried texting "on" to 40404, then I tried texting an update. Still, no changes. What am I doing wrong?

2 AnswersFishing1 decade agoWhat kind of bike should I get?
I'm looking to buy my first motorcycle soon, and I was wondering what kind of bike I should get. I definitely want a cruiser, but since this is my FIRST bike, I don't want something too big or to heavy. I'll be using this bike for a daily 15-mile freeway commute, and an occasional ride to the lake with the guys. I've looked at the Honda Shadow and I like it, but I'm not sure what other models there are in the same class. Can any of you make some suggestions?

6 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoWhat's up with my quarter?
I tried to buy a Coke from a vending machine this morning, but it wouldn't accept one of my quarters. Upon closer inspection of the coin, I noticed it weighed less than the other coins, and it made an unusual clinking sound. The metal is clearly different. Is it aluminum?
It has the year 1963 on the obverse side, with the standard eagle on the reverse side. Is this rare?
Please tell me about its history!
