Gas fireplace smoked up my house.?
I have had a gas log fireplace for about 5 years. Just this year, it has made my ceiling, ceiling fans, walls, etc, black with smut. Is something wrong with the heater?

I have 2 mother cats, both had babies, a week apart. They have moved their babies to the same box & take turns nursing. Every time I check on them, they have moved one kitten out & hid it. Why is this? I have handled all of them so why are they moving just one? Nothing seems to be wrong with the kitten. I am puzzled that they even moved their babies together.
