The girl I dated decided to become a porn star the day after I broke up with her?
The girl I dated decided to become a porn star the day after I broke up with her. What do you think that say about me/our relationship?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating7 years agoShould I tell my manager that I'm getting a tattoo?
I'm a hostess at a restaurant and I'm planning on getting an inch-sized tattoo on my wrist. Our "official" work policy is to have no visible tattoos but at least 3 other servers/hostesses have some the same size or larger than I'm planning on getting mine.
I was wondering if I should tell my manager first?
2 AnswersTattoos8 years agoWhat get's tougher the more it breaks/once it heals?
I'm trying to think of more things like bones that are apparently stronger in the spot you break them after they heal. Or, like getting immune to a flu virus or something after getting it.
What other things have similar characteristics? But not all related to the body!
2 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoBold and curvy font suggestions?
I was wondering if you could suggest modern fonts that are bold, curvy and possibly slightly tilted/italic.
Cooper Black Italic is one that I like, but I find it's been used too frequently for what I'm looking for.
Or, are there any other resources you could suggest as a good font directory?
1 AnswerDrawing & Illustration9 years agoGetting over my fear of being out?
I've come out to a lot of people in my circle around the end of school this past June, and want everyone to know, but now I'm finding it hard to act out of the closet.
I still cringe at first when I hear about gay topics at places like at school, cannot bring myself to talk about girls and sometimes make a big deal about gay related things.
There are still a few people who have yet to know about my sexuality and I get irrationally anxious if I have to tell them (even those who have explicitly accepted and are okay with other gays). It's almost like I make up homophobia that isn't even there.
I need help learning how to be out of the closet! :)
3 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender9 years agoSony Vegas Pro 9.0 Not Responding?
Hello,
My Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 has been non-responsive for over an hour and I have yet to save my project. What would be the best way to make it respond again, or a way to find the auto-saved files?
Thanks!
2 AnswersSoftware9 years agoIs personal identity the only thing that distinguishes gender?
I was just searching stuff about gender and I started to wonder for instance if something distinguishes someone who may be more masculine/feminine from someone who identifies as male or female, besides their own identification?
Gender seems to be becoming so much more fluid that is there really anything that one can say is only male or only female?
5 AnswersGender Studies9 years agoHow cool colours can affect us?
I'm wondering if anyone would know any interesting facts about cool colours (ex: green, blue, purple) and about how they can affect us. For instance, people have a 12% faster reaction time in red light.
Citations an asset!
Thanks! :D
3 AnswersPsychology9 years agoReady to come out! :)?
So, I'm ready to fully come out.
I've told my mother, brother and closest friends throughout the years that I'm a lesbian, and now I just want to get it out in the open.
I've sorta taken the easier way in the past. I've always told them by e-mail, online etc... never really in person.
But, the way I've been thinking of telling more people is at lunch time at school basically everyone I know sits at the same table, and I was thinking of coming out then, but, I'm not sure how to do it.
I'm so nervous to just say it, and it seems so out of the blue. I don't know how to formulate it, or should I just simply say it? Is there a way of intersecting it into conversation? Should I write it on paper and show people or something else? Any ideas or suggestions? ... I don't know, I just feel like if I try to say it out loud I'll choke and not be able to get the words out!
5 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender9 years agoWhat seems longer? 1 year or twelve months?
I'm writing a resume at the moment, and out of curiosity, what seems like a longer period of time? 1 year or 12 months?
*I know they're the same thing :)
5 AnswersPolls & Surveys9 years agoHow to find the maximum yield?
2(Al) + 3(CuCl2) => 2(AlCl3) + 3(Cu)
Al: 0,40g
CuCl2 H2.: 5,01g
With these formulas, I was wondering how to figure out the maximum yield with CuCl2 in excess.
2 AnswersChemistry9 years agoOut, but act closeted (homophobic mother)?
My family knows I'm a lesbian. My mom has known for at least two years, but, whenever there is anything LGBT on TV, a magazine, whatever. I always shy away from it, switch the channel etc... especially when my mom's around.
I don't like to bring up any LGBT subjects because every so often, she randomly spews out homophobic comments. She's asked me multiple times if "I was sure that there weren't guys I liked", saying she doesn't want to see me with a girlfriend and once blurting to my brother if he knew I was gay, thankfully I had told him previously, but she could've outted me to him.
I just feel vulnerable when it happens and she doesn't listen when I tell her to stop, she thinks it's a joke. So... any advice?
Thanks for your help!
5 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender9 years agoIs there a Spanish translation for the expression "I see"?
In Spanish, I've kept saying "yo veo" for "I see!" or "I see what you did there!" and "tu veo" for "you see!" but I know it's incorrect and I need to find something to say instead.
Is there a translation for that expression, or is there any other expression that is similar?
!Muchas gracias para tu ayuda!
5 AnswersLanguages9 years agoGender dilemma. I need a valid excuse not to change the words in a song I'm singing.?
I wanna sing Forget You by Cee Lo Green and since the lyrics say "with the girl I love" I wanted to keep it that way since it's the original lyrics and I'm a lesbian, though I'm not 100% out. But, I've started taking vocal lessons and the woman said "You should change the lyrics to "guy I love" because when you sing it's like your singing about your life".
So, that was quite awkward and I'm trying to find a justifiable way of keeping the lyrics the original way. I already said I prefer the original, but I couldn't think of more of a defence to say without actually outing myself.
Do you have any things I could say to get her off my back/be justifiable reason to keep the original lyrics?
4 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender10 years agoMovies and shows like The Fifth Element, Alice, Doctor Who, Spy Kids etc...?
I love outlandish, future-esque, colourful, imaginative programs.
I recently found Alice (http://www.syfy.com/alice) and I adore that style.
Any other suggestions?
3 AnswersMovies10 years agoShould I let my Sims age?
In my town, EVERYONE is related to each other and there is this one family with like 15 kids and I know it could be more interesting if the town ages, but I want the legacy that started everything to basically be immortal, but should I let them age, anyway?
4 AnswersVideo & Online Games10 years agoWhen did I first subscribe, on Youtube?
So, I was wondering if there was any tool that could be used to find out when a youtube account first subscribed to somebody. Or say, first watched a video first video from someone. Is that possible?
Thanks.
2 AnswersYouTube10 years agoStory writing help: Why would cupcakes be out to get you?
I'm writing a story, and cupcakes are involved.
I need a reason why cupcakes (or possibly the bakers or something related to cupcakes) may be out to seek revenge on or anger someone.
Be creative! Any input would be helpful. :)
