Parents are divorced. Father retired the year she was going to college. He is able to help as far as she knows. Mom has trouble paying it all but has managed to help so far the first year. Is it the adult's job to ask dad for help? She is also looking for work to help pay cost. He has not mentioned any kind of help.

My driveway is next to her backyard so it's convenient for her to walk up my driveway to her plants. She has some shrubs there and is always outside. I have no privacy; her lawn people are always on my driveway as well. Well, because she passed by as if she owns the place, I just parked my car all the way in to make it hard for her to go by, this way she is forced to use her own side on the left of her house. She's not a nice person, nosy as well. AM I being anal? What would you do?

Daughter is asking me if she can do this. New boyfriend and she has met him before--I think she's too young yet as she's just turned 19.

Is this possible through a motion without a lawyer?

I woudl pay her monthly of course. My 19 yr old is transferring to a college in her hometown and I need to ask her if this would be ok. Is it too much to ask? She is a widow.

My daughter is not happy at the college of her choice and this concerns me. What is your story? Why didnt you like the school? Are you happy now and glad you made the chnage or do you regret it?

She is complaining of not like where she is at. She happens to be in Canada, and I know the weather there gets cold but that's not the concern with her. She doesn't like her roommate (very sloppy) and she is I think homesick to say the least. Now she s saying she wants to come to a school in the US, where colleges are much more expensive than they are there. She is very responsible and does all her work, it's that she doesn't like being there, although the city she is at is beautiful. What can i advise her? I was thinking maybe a work-study program here would be good for her and better for me as well in terms of affordability.

Also, what does it mean when the plaintiff may apply to the court for a judgement on the sanctions?

I spent all morning shoveling snow on my driveway and away from my car, that had been on the street. When I go out this morning, I notice that the guy who lives to my right (as you face the outside of my house) cleared up his spot by shoveling snow on front (where grass would be and beyond--like 2 feet across) of my property. Would you get upset at at this? He put some snow on the his side which is his driveway and home (he has about 2 feet or so of land along the driveway) but not a lot, but he put a lot of snow he had shoveled on top on my land.

There are companies that claim to help you pay your debt for you as you pay them a monthly portion of the bills (from credit cards), which may have high interest rates. Is it better to borrow from them to pay these off, or from your credit union to pay them off? What is the advantage of each?

I'd like to know the difference. I tried a motion to enforce litigants rights and nothing happened to my opposing party--he defied court orders. So someone has told me a motion to compel would force the person to follow court orders.

Driving from NJ to Bangor, Maine. Will take over 8 hrs. This is not THAT long I know but I'm afraid to book any hotels in Bangor if I feel I can't drive any further than 7 hrs or so. So, should I not book and stay at a hotel/motel when I get to where ever?

Taking a long round trip drive (15 hrs). Staying overnight in hotel/motel. Will spend approximately $300 on gas (roundtrip). How much in cash is safe to bring? Will most likely pay for toll from US to Canada dont know that fare.

Have you done this before or know someone who has? I'm not sure about car rental companies and going into other neighboring countries.

I am taking a long trip (almost 15 hrs) and am thinking of ways to make it easier. I am ok with driving but not for a long time. I can drive for 6-7 hrs and be tired already. AM staying overnight for sure somewhere and taking as many breaks as needed.

I know a penalty will have to be paid, but I need to borrow some of this money. Under what circumstances is it ok to borrow from it? Has anyone here ever done this before? What were the consequences?
