It seems that what we deem impossible now can eventually be made possible. So can we have an absolute zero chance of something happening? In fact if you know of an article that proves or disproves this assumption I would love to read it.

Ok simply put, I'm working on a "calculator" that figures out the probabilities in a playoff system. So far I have calculated the probabilities of each possible match-up. Now I want to use these probabilities to calculate the probability of each team moving on to the next round. Finding the probability of one team moving from the first round to the second is easy as it is just the probability of the one match-up. In particular, I am looking at the NFL playoffs and their 6 teams per conference system. I need to find equations for three particular problems:

1. What is the probability of a 3 seed making it to the conference round?

2. What is the probability of a 4 seed making it to the conference round?

3. What is the probability of a 1 seed making it to the conference round?

Things to keep in mind: the 1 seed has a bye during the wildcard round. The 4 seed has to either play the 1 seed or the 2 seed depending on the matchup of seeds 3 v 6. The 3 seed only has to play the 2 seed if they win their wildcard matchup.

So my school requires that I learn a foreign language, so I just want to get an idea of what I should learn. I would prefer not to take spanish again if I can avoid it. My school offers (besides Spanish) Arabic/Islamic, Chinese, French, German, Green, Hebrew/Judaic, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian, ASL, and Swedish.

I have this kind of old Dynex TV (probably like 5 years old I think). I would like to get something that I can connect to it so the sound comes through my bluetooth headphones. I'm given that a car consumes gasoline at 20 mpg traveling at 60 mph and that the specific gravity of gas is 0.72. How can convert this into mass flow rate which I know is mass/time?

I've got a Dell Inspiron 13 7359 and I'd like to get a new stylus for it. The one that comes with it is alright but is kind of hard to write with since it's basically a rubber ball at the end. I'd like to get something like the active stylus but a lot of places that I've read have said that they don't work for my brand of laptop but I thought better to ask a community of people if they know of anything. I simply want a stylus that I can easily write with on my computer screen and not have it get stuck mid stroke. Thanks

Background: I got a really awesome tablet that allows me to connect to my MacBook and it allows me to write and draw like I would with paper and pen.

Problem: I want an application where I could take notes for class where I could use my gift to take the notes. So what applications can I get that would allow me to do handwritten notes? I would prefer if the application were free.

So I'm learning about torque in my physics class and in this problem we have to find angular acceleration. We're given that the torque applied to spin a wheel is 10 newton meters and the moment of inertia is .96 kilogram meter squared. I also know that the equation to find torque with angular acceleration and moment of inertia is τ = Iα (torque equals moment of inertia times angular acceleration). I plugged in the torque and moment of inertia, converted them to SI units, and divided the moment of inertia from the torque but I get 10 reciprocal second square (s^-2). Obviously that doesn't make sense because it needs to be radians per seconds squared. So what am I missing? I also need to convert it into degrees per seconds squared so if you want to convert it to that then go ahead.

So in my fantasy football league one of the managers oddly dropped Calvin Johnson from their team and I was able to snatch him up. Good pick up?

My brother was using them today on our family computer watching youtube videos which is typical after he finishes his school work. He comes to me saying they weren't working any more and explains that they wouldn't produce sound, and when it did, it only happened for a brief second. So I plugged them into my laptop and confirmed that they weren't playing any music and when they did it would be for a brief moment. As a secondary test I plugged in another pair of headphones (also skull candy) and they worked perfectly fine. I asked him if he did anything that would have damaged the headphones and he told me no. They aren't that old either being bought almost a month ago. So unless he's lying about damaging them I can only assume that they are defective but just wanted to come here and see if anyone has had the same issues. I can't remember the type of headphones but I believe they were the cheap kind. Any solutions are helpful thanks

I'm making a calendar and I just wanna know what colors go with each month. I can only use limited colors. I can use red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, and brown. Now I'm probably going to use each color more then once but i want to limit that as much as possible because i want each month to be unique. And I'll go ahead and tell you what I had in mind for each month but I'm always open to new ideas. January-black (since I don't have white), Feburary-red, March-green, April-yellow, and October-black and orange. All ideas are welcome. Thanks

This is more of like a poll to see what people think. The choices are maximum oxy cleansing pads, witch hazel, or proactiv. I have used the oxy pads and witch hazel. The witch hazel has worked well and i just started using the oxy pads so it hasn't made a huge difference but i just want to know who has used these products and which they would prefer to use.

ok I'm starting to get a hunch that my appendix needs to be removed, but I want to be 200% before I even think about going into surgery. so what do I need to look for other than just the pain in that area?

ok so I'm on my computer right I see its late and I need to shut everything off and go to sleep. I'm going through making sure everything is closed (Internet, iTunes, etc). I finally get everything closed I go to the start menu click shut down twice and then all of a sudden a pop up said rundll32.exe is not responding and it was I asking should I force it to shutdown or should I cancel the shutdown until it starts working. I start thinking to myself oh crap I just got a virus on my computer. so naturally I pull up my virus protection program which it is currently searching my whole system for a virus(es). now I'm pretty good with computers I can figure them out pretty quickly but this is puzzling me. what is this program rundll32.exe? well I go online with my iPod and look it up. well this website tells me that it's nothing to worry about its just a thing windows uses. but then I notice that other people have searched rundll32.exe virus. great you mean I might have a virus on this computer possibly disguised as a harmless program on windows? I tried looking up what this virus was and then going in first hand and seeing if I had it. but I can't find anything usefull. so if you know what the virus is and no it's like code or whatever please let me know because I want to know for sure that if I click END NOW when it asks I can click on it knowing I'm not killing this computer. oh and another thing of why I assume I might have the virus is because this computer moves so slow a snail can cross an entire football field and it will be half way done with opening one of my programs :P

So I'm a sophomore and I'm taking Biology as one of my courses and we're doing the unit of Genetics. So we are doing a project on disorders in genetics. My topic is ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and one part of the project is to say is it a dominant trait or recessive trait. In other words do most people have ADD or do a minority of people have ADD? I want to assume that it's a recessive trait seeing I don't know very many people who have it, but I don't want to put that and then find out mid-way through the presentation that it's actually dominant or vise versa. I've always wanted to create a great movie that I'm proud of. Or write a story without wanting to scrap it. Right now I'm trying to make a movie and I don't even know what the plot of the story is. I'm trying to create some sort of action movie like a war movie. If you know a good way to get past writers block so I can make that movie I would really appreciate it.

I am light skinned but I already have a slight tan but I want to tan longer. I have sun tan lotion (forgot SPF #) just need to know how long to be out.
