revelation 19 is Jesus the cause of all war ??

11 I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he

who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he

judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on

his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name

written which no one knows but he himself. 13 He is clothed in

a garment sprinkled with blood. His name is called "The Word of

God." 14 The armies which are in heaven followed him on white

horses, clothed in white, pure, fine linen. 15 Out of his mouth

proceeds a sharp, two-edged sword, that with it he should strike

the nations. He will rule them with a rod of iron. He treads the

winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God, Shaddai.16 He

has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, "KING OF

KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."

Update:

Jesus is the word the one riding the white horse with splatters of blood. he is clearly the leader and the one who will rule with a rode of iron.

Jesus came to dispense mercy and kindness but he will return again to dispense justice to the world with a rod of iron. All war created the principalities of darkness is to destroy, discourage and degrade humanity and cause the destruction of many before He returns.

Psalm 2:9 - 'He will rule them with a rod of iron'

Dan 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, [one] like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that ALL PEOPLES, NATIONS, AND LANGUAGES,, should serve him: his dominion [is] an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom [that] which shall not be destroyed.

daniel 2:44: AND IN THE DAYS OF THESE KINGS shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, AND IT SHALL STAND FOR EVER.

This is Christ, and the two edged sword is the Word of God, and the blood splatters are the beating and the Crucifixion, and probably some from all of the people that have been killed for His sake.

He is coming back to take control of what man has screwed up and to show them that he is who the scriptures say that He is.

If you read the whole chapter, you will find out that He is going to destroy the anti-Christ, which is the beast, and also the false prophet.

He is tired of all the sin in the world, not only among people but the leaders of all countries. Don't you remember the Bible warned that there would be wars and rumors of wars? This is where it pays to know the Prophecies in the Bible and to know how many have been fulfilled with `100% accuracy, and those that are yet to come. Do you realize that there is not one prophecy left that has to be fulfilled before he returns, the only possiblity of one is that Damasks has to be destroyed, and the Bible isn't explicit on whether that has to happen before Chirsts return or not.

Try a commentary based on those verses or the chapter. But if you actually try reading the book of revelation, you'll understand. It is because the anti-christ would come and expose himself as the savior, but then, as God takes believers away to heaven, there would be the great tribulation, etc so forth. And then the whole anti-chirst being defeated by the armies of God (like the reference you gave) and something about the Battle of Armageddon, persumably in Israel. So the Bible ends with a happily ever after conclusion where everyone is pure and sinfuless. But there are many views on the book of revelation and many theories.

Jesus is a great commander and a mighty man of war. Read the bible and read on how he organizes the church, he is a military leader. You saw the kind side but God also has great wrath and is very capable of war, he has his armies, following on white horses, mighty creatures whose sole existence is war. That is why Joshua saw him with a sword in hand and who do you think lead gods army against Satan, the kingdom sufferers violence and the violent take it by force. And God has his hand in every thing, God will make war if he needs to so why concern yourself, not the cuddly loving god you want him to be? Well there is nothing to explain and he does not have to explain himself to you, for where were you when i laid the foundations of the earth? God is God, he is lord and ruler of both heaven and earth, his will be done on earth as it is in heaven and this soldier will march with him fearless before the enemy. Loving are we but fully capable of killing, merciless when need be and harmless as dove's when asked, soldiers of god, are exactly that, soldiers.

read on and see the rider of the red horse. that is the sybolic cause of war. also see matthew 24: 3-14. wars are a sign of Christ ruling as king. that tied is with Jesus riding on the white horse. He is ruling as King in heaven, and soon will bring about Jehovah's will on the earth

What you are referring to is when Christ rides as Jehovah's executioner in God's great war of Armageddon.Jesus as King of God's heavenly kingdom, takes the lead in destroying this wicked system of things.Afterwhich a righteous new system will be introduced and Christ will rule as King over the earth for one thousand years with 144,000 faithful men and women who have been taken from the earth to rule as kings and priests with Christ.(Rev.14:1-4;Dan2:44)

Modern Christianity has nothing to do with Jesus...

The Roman emperor Constantine I (ruled 306 - 337) created a new military standard to be carried before his army which displayed the first two Greek letters of the word Christ - Chi (χ) and Rho, (ρ) which came to be known as the labarum.

XP - "In this sign you shall conquer" (In hoc signo vinces).

Constantine was a murderer & the Founder of the Roman Catholic Church.

According to the Biblical Jesus - "You can tell a tree by the fruit it bears"...

Constantine was a very bitter fruit!

You've misunderstood the verse, it's refering to Lucifer, the Anti Christ who will come and reign for 7 years then there will be an everlasting world peace but it must come out of a conflagaration, a war situation. He is already among us and the battle has just started. The gentiles are coming to the end of their time.

Did you not read that he shall arrive on a pale horse and his name is death.

    That's not God.

Not necessarily Jesus, but religion in general is the cause of pretty much all major wars and disputes... as long as people have something to disagree about or say "I'm better than you because ____" there will always be stuff like that.

sounds more like a description of Ripley's alien to me.

a: How can a dead man cause wars? Maybe his later fanatics (sorry followers) did though.

b: was the author enjoying his daily dose of muchrooms? This reads like some of Tim Leary's more bizarre acid trips.
