It's sickening. He was a ******* child molester rapist, but people love him. It just shows where are values are. We put celebrities and fame before everything else. It is what makes us blind.

It is common to fly the flag at half mast for the day or two after the death of a member of Congress, so it may be because of the death of Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones. I'm in Washington DC and the flags here are also at half mast.

I know it was quite a few days ago (June 25th) but I believe it is due to the passing of Michael Jackson. Today was the official memorial service so I think that's why most people would be doing it today.
