Would any of these movie theater's hire me?

I am looking to get a job. I owe my brother 200 bucks, and I want to start saving up for a gaming laptop. My friend told me working at a movie theater is a good first job, and I started looking into it.

I am 14 years old, and I would be extremely dedicated to a job.

I am a hard worker

These are the three theater's in my range.

AMC Theaters

Great Escape Theaters

Rave Motion Pictures

Pay doesn't matter so much, and I am planning to apply for all of them, but I would first like to know if I had any chance at getting hired.

REMEMBER- They must hire 14 year olds!

Thank you.

    Apply to all of those theaters. Print out a clean, concise resume that includes your: education, experience, skills, goal (presumably employee at the theater), and contact info. Keep it direct and simple, and be presentable if you're interviewed. Most importantly, be ready to work hard for the company.

    Most places only hire people who are 16 or older. There are legal requirements and age limits. Also, they usually hire older people because they have more experience and are more likely to stay with a job since they need the money. (You need the money to pay back your brother and then guy a laptop. They want to hire people who need the money in order to eat and pay rent - these people are more likely to stay with the job than you are, since they really need it to survive.)

    I'd suggest you try to do something around your neighborhood - mow lawns, shovel snow, deliver newspapers, babysit, etc. You'll have a better chance of getting those types of jobs, and there won't be any legal issues.

    Sure if you if your parents own it! . . .

    When You Turn 14 . . .

    When and how many hours can youth work?

    Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the minimum age for employment in non-agricultural employment is 14. Hours worked by 14- and 15-year-olds are limited to:

    * Non-school hours;

    * 3 hours in a school day;

    * 18 hours in a school week;

    * 8 hours on a non-school day;

    * 40 hours on a non-school week; and

    * hours between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. (except from June 1 through Labor Day, when evening hours are extended to 9 p.m.)

    Youth 14 and 15 years old enrolled in an approved Work Experience and Career Exploration Program (WECEP) may be employed for up to 23 hours in school weeks and 3 hours on school days (including during school hours).

    The FLSA does not limit the number of hours or times of day for workers 16 years and older.

    Many states have enacted child labor laws as well. In situations where both the FLSA child labor provisions and state child labor laws apply, the higher minimum standard must be obeyed.

    However,

    You can work as an actor or performer in motion pictures, television, theater or radio.

    You can work on a farm owned or operated by your parents.

    However, parents are prohibited from employing their children in manufacturing, mining, or any other occupation declared hazardous by the Secretary of Labor.

    You can work in a business solely owned or operated by your parents.

    You can deliver newspapers.
