If God has a Son what stops him from having a father and grandchidren?

This isn't really a parenting question, but I will give it a shot. The reason God doesn't have a father or grandchildren is because God is not human. He is a spiritual being. Jesus Christ is not actually his son, he is a part of God. Have you ever heard of the Trinity? Father, Son, Holy Ghost. They are not separate entities, but one and the same. Often times, the Bible is not literal. It uses stories and terms that humans can understand to help us relate its teachings to our own life.

Ok, I don't get the father part. But I see where you're going with the grand children thing. But religions are flawed and someone will come up with some ridiculous reason why.

The human thought process & the idea that there must be a beginning to everything. If you give the creator a creator there's no beginning. And people are always searching for where things originate.

god doesn't have a son. God doesn't have a father because god's father never existed and either does god. How can god have grandchildren when he never had a son. It kind of hard to have a son when you don't exist.

We are all God's children with different degrees of intelligence and gifts. So God Godess, has many children and grands.. God lives in us all. We all come from God....AMEN

Nothing stops me from having grandchildren either. Doesn't mean I have any.

Great point. Truth is he doesn't have a son, he is the one and only Allah. 'He is self sufficient. He neither begets nor is begotten. And there is none like (or even comparable to) him'
