think about it
8 AnswersParenting10 years agothe adam and eve story is like giving a razor blade to your 1 month old baby and saying 'don't cut yourself'?
yea right the baby has free will
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhat was God thinking when he put the forbidden fruit in the garden,it was a clear setup?
think about this the forbidden fruit was in the garden and yet god told adam and eve to be fruitful and multiply knowing that even if adam and eve never ate of the fruit a day will come that one of their descendants will definitely eat of the fruit.it was just a matter of time, humankind was setup for failure by a loving god.
21 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoDoes'nt the concept of free will contradict gods omnipotence cos in the end he knows the choices i will make?
a god who knows everything in the future obviously knew adam and eve would eat the forbidden tree wheres the free will there if you already know my destination and the choices ill make
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhats this noise about Christians and God gave us free will because even animals have free will?
every animal on earth has free will and a choice to make so why do Christians magnify free will as if its only a human thing.its one hell of an excuse that has saved them in countless arguments maybe thats why they stick to it
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoIf Gods love is UNCONDITIONAL why is there the CONDITION that you accept Jesus or forever rot in hell?
i doubt if christians understand the word unconditional at all.
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoGen1:16-19 Isn't it absurd that God took 6 days to make small earth yet 1 to make billions of stars far bigger?
think about it.how does it make sense that a deity will take 6 days to make a small earth yet take just a day to make billions of stars and planets which are far bigger than earth don't forget the bible makes no mentions of planets because the primitive people who wrote genesis had no idea of its existance.its like saying got built your house in 6 days yet took one day to build cities like chicago, new york, tokyo etc it just dont make sense this stuff are clearly made up.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhy isn't any of the mythical stuff in the bible happening anymore?
talking snakes and donkeys, flying zombies and chariots, food, stones and fire falling from the sky, parting of oceans and rivers, valleys of dry bones gaining flesh and life, the sun stoping in the sky, walking on water, whales swallowing people, magical trees etc
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoIf God spent six days to create the Earth how many more did he use to create Jupiter?
and the other 7 planets not forgetting the countless planets beyond our view
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoIf all eyes will see Jesus on his second coming it means Hubble Space Telescope will see him first, right?
meaning we on earth will be informed ahead of time before even makes it into our solar system.that wont come as a surprise or like a theif in the night.
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhy was Jesus afraid to give dates for his second coming was he afraid he was going to fail miserably?
That would have been a concrete evidence that he was indeed someone true now we have nothing except lame events to look out for earthquakes,wars,famine,etc....stuff that has been occuring on earth since the begining of time.this is no prophecy jesus could have done way better than that.
22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhy lambast Harold Camping, when Jesus likewise had failed prophesies at least Camping gave dates.?
Mt.16:28
"Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here,
which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of
man coming in his kingdom."
Mt.23:36
"Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon
this generation."
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoChristians why do you believe Jesus was sinless when even he didnt believe he was good Mark 10:18?
< Mark 10:18 >>
"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone.
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoIf Hell is real why did it evolve from sheol a normal place for all dead people to a torturing chamber?
Sheol (play /ˈʃiːoʊl/ shee-ohl or /ˈʃiːəl/ shee-əl; Hebrew שְׁאוֹל Šʾôl) is the "grave", "pit", or "abyss" in Hebrew.[1][2] She'ol[3] is the earliest conception of the afterlife in the Jewish scriptures. It is a place of darkness to which all dead go, regardless of the moral choices made in life, and where they are "removed from the light of God" (see the Book of Job). In the Tanakh sheol is the common destination of both the righteous and the unrighteous flesh, as recounted in Ecclesiastes and Job.
When the Hebrew scriptures were translated into Greek in ancient Alexandria around 200 BCE the word "hades" (underworld) was substituted for "sheol". (see Hellenistic Judaism).
same applies to satan from a god elected accuser to a fallen angel

same applies to lucifer who today has become a fallen angel
Traditionally, Lucifer (English pronunciation: /ˈluːsɪfər, ljuːsɪfər/) is a name that in English generally refers to the devil or Satan before being cast from Heaven, although this is not the original meaning of the term. In Latin, from which the English word is derived, Lucifer (as a noun) means "light-bearer" (from the words lucem ferre). It was the name given to the dawn appearance of the planet Venus, which heralds daylight. For this meaning, English generally uses the names "Morning Star" or "Day Star", and rarely "Lucifer".
Use of the name "Lucifer" for the devil stems from a particular interpretation of Isaiah 14:3–20, a passage that does not speak of any fallen angel but of the defeat of a particular Babylonian King, whom the passage names Helel (הֵילֵל, Shining One), a Hebrew word that refers to the Day Star or Morning Star (the Latin term[2] for which is lucifer)[3] In 2 Peter 1:19 and elsewhere, the same Latin word lucifer is used to refer to the Morning Star, with no relation to the devil. In Revelation 22:16, Jesus himself is called the Morning Star, but not "Lucifer", even in Latin.
It is uncertain when precisely the Isaiah passage, which in its Latin translation contains the name "Lucifer", began to be applied to Satan, but it was certainly used in this way by 3rd-century Origen,[4] and some scholars claim that the identification of "Lucifer" with the devil was first made by Origen, Tertullian and Augustine of Hippo.[5]

christian doctrines have the habit of borrowing from other traditions and polluting whatever they borrowed to suit them.

18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoHow did the Judeo-Christian God go from a blood tasty deity to the loving one we have today?
"And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and woman: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house." (Ezekiel 9:5-6)
"And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel. And the LORD said unto Moses, 'Take all the heads of the people and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.'" (Numbers 25:3-4)
"And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also. And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense." (Numbers 16:32-35)
"Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." (I Samuel 15:2-3)
Isaiah 13:18
Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoIf God never fail why did he go from killing people mercilessly in the old testament to sending jesus?
to change plans only means the previous one wasn't working.a perfect being doesn't change his plans.
